So Far So Good: The Wednesday Blog Hop..

Happy Wednesday guys! How are you today?

So far so good for me!!

My open plan kitchen is on it's way. The shelves are up and one coat of black varnish is nearly covered it. (This photo was taken a few days ago!).

So far it has used 3 tins of varnish. My husband had to come home from work tonight and drive out miles to our nearest Ikea for another 4 tins of varnish to cover the rest and varnish it once more.

I don't think I ever want to varnish my own shelves again!! There have been tears, lol! Hopefully, it will look great once finished!! I am so tired, lol. I think it is going to look great when it is all finished though.

Me and my son before Parkrun on Saturday. He only finished 10 minutes in front of me in a 3 miles race! I am so slow and he is so quick. One day, I will be faster... ha! I have been saying that for 10 years and now I am even slower.

How cool is the name of this paint!? English trifle does sound yummy. It was so bright when just painted. My son nearly jumped out his skin; when he first see it. So did I every time I looked at it. Luckily id dried lighter! Lovely colour now it has dried.

Google sends me little reminders of years gone by. Today they told me I took this photo of Mollie, exactly a year ago. This was the first day we brought her a Frisbee. She loved it and has been obsessed with them since. We can not go to the park with one. One man and his dog frisbee.

Talking of obsessed, how many cupcake cases did I find when I was sorting my kitchen things out!! 100's...

Want to link up with us today?

This list has now finished.

  4. I love the color and the name! Those shelves are going to be amazing and I love your brick wall too. You do have a lot of cupcake liners. I like to see them in a tall clear jar to show off all of the colors and patterns. Varnishing sounds like a lot of work, we've been painting and I can feel your pain. It will all be worth it!
