Winter Berries : The Wednesday Blog Hop...

Thankfully the weather has warmed up this week. I though Winter had set in when I woke up to the frost about a week ago. Come rain or shine I have to still take Mollie the Collie walkies so I made the most of the frost and took some pictures...

Love to see the pops of red from the berries underneath the frost!

Blackberry, Chia And Lemon Sponge Puddings With Blackberry Custard...

Blackberry, chia and lemon sponge puddings with blackberry custard:

Forget about a kitchen full of steam these wonderfully light tangy steamed puds get a modern make over and are cooked in the oven in a roasting tin covered with a large of foil.

Steamed puddings are wonderfully forgiving, so if you get a little delayed eating your main course and the puddings are ready, don’t feel you must rush, turn off the oven and leave for an extra 10 even 15 minutes cooking.

Dairy free, gluten free

Bring On The Cold!

A few weeks ago I received an email to tell me Blacks & Millets are working alongside brands such as The North Face and Berghaus on their new season jackets. Their range include the stylish Thermoball & Stormcloud ranges. Some great brands and lovely warm coats then. Excellent.

They kindly asked me if I would like to pick one of their coats and take part in their new campaign; Bring on the cold!

White Chocolate Banana Bread...

Since the weather has turned cooler we have stopped making as many fruit smoothies lately. We always seam to have some bananas left at the end of the week that need using up. Perfect for banana bread then. I made a banana bread up and the kids loved it.

Squash And Black Bean Chilli...

Squash and black bean chilli.

serves 4

Either stuff a whole squash with the chilli, or dice and roast the squash and add it to the chilli. The latter opens up a whole variety of serving suggestions: eat it with rice or in a baked potato; top it with a dollop of soured cream, some spicy tomato salsa or some guacamole; stuff it in a taco with some grated cheese; or spread it over a tortilla. If you are stuffing the squash you will need to use one that is a suitable size and will hold its shape when cooked, such as onion squash.

Autumn Fun...

Me and my daughter making the most of the Autumn leaves.

These pictures were taken on our walk last week. Something fun about kicking the fallen leaves and chucking them around in the air.

Autumn 2015 So Far...

A few pictures of Autumn.

We have had a warm Autumn so far, but this week things have changed! The days are getting cooler. The nights are getting darker earlier. Summer is now just a memory away. I have just noticed a few more leaves have blown off the trees. Soon they will be bare and ready for Winter.

Autumn Walks And School Runs..

Having a puppy means I get lot of exercise.

A running partner whenever I need one and lots of walks daily!!

We have a lovely spot nearby where Mollie can run off the lead.

{No cars around or she would run after them to try and round them up!}

Mollie can have a run around here and I can take pictures, perfect!
