Fairground At Butlins : Bognor Regis...

Here is a video I made of all the fun we had at Butlins on our ambassador trip in May.

So much fun in just a 2 minute video.

Today I am sharing some of our favourite photo from the fairground.

Something magical about the seaside, fairground rides and candy floss.

"Do you think this too?"

One of our favourite activities as a family at Butlins is the fairground.

With plenty of fun rides included, there is something for everyone. Dashing around from ride to ride, after our big breakfast has settled.

And before dinner is the best time for us to go on the rides.

Not to full and not to hungry!!

And included in your holiday so no having to pay every-time you go on.

This year Butlins at Bognor Regis they have open a new ride, The Helter Skelter. We all had to try it out!! Even mum and dad!!

Brings back lovely memories of being a child.

There was always a Helter Skelter on my holidays as a youngster.

Good thing about the rides at Butlins is there is lots of rides to suit all ages.

Not that we go on the upside down or spinning around ones, but it is nice to have the choice.

Daughter loves the Carousel and Hubby loves the dodgems...

And we all love the Paratroopers..

I am so looking forward to the summer holidays...

Can not wait to visit again..

Scarf's, Flowers And Selfies..

Another scarf featured on the blog today from the new range of BHS scarf neckaces.

I wore this one family day out to the Seaside. Lots of walking here ...

I styled this pink scarf necklace with a flowered tunic, white denim jacket, super fun ripped jeans and trendy pumps.

Can you guess where I was when I styled this one?

These picture were taken on a day trip to Butlins in Skegness...

This week I am featured over on the BHS blog styling up some of the new scarf necklaces...

Hope you can stop by and have a read..

Lets Go To The Beach : Bognor Regis...

Our first trip to the seaside this year was on our Butlins Ambassadors break, a month ago.

Really a month!?! Where does the time go?

Still going through pictures, all 600 of them!!

Over our 4 nights stay, the weather was over cast and a bit rainy.

The sun did come out on Thursday afternoon.

So we enjoyed the funfair then.

We loved taking a walk in the evening, after dinner.

Shake some of the calories off that we had over eaten at tea time!!

Bognor Regis is a stony beach.

So the children loved to find a quiet place, and my daughter loves to look for shells.

She said to say "she found 6"...

Everyone loves to do a spot of skimming stones along the sea.

To see who could throw the furthest and who can skim them along the water the longest.

Dad likes to think he is the best at this game!?!

Oh yes, dad won this time...

With oldest son (who came with us) a close second!!

How lovely is it just to watch the waves?

Lots of fun at the sea.

And lots of brother and sister banter on the walk back.

We have lots of plans to make now.

Which beaches to visit next over the summer holiday?

Can't wait.

I love the beach...

Football Crazy...

You can imagine having 3 boys and a husband who love their football, I have no control of the TV over the next few weeks!!

Did I mention my boy's love their football?. When they are not outside playing football they are inside watching it.

Even a few weeks ago when we were on holiday at Butlins, every given chance my 2 youngest sons were sneaking off for a game.

My daughter loves to play too, that is when she is not sneaking off with the ball!!

They will be glued to the TV cheering England on tonight.

Even I might watch...

The Deck Restaurant : Butlins Bognor Regis Review...

Food glorious food...

Warning a post full of yummy food...

Self-service buffet, eat as much as you like!?! Yes please...

Whenever we go away, there is nothing I like more than having food included. As a stay at home mum making food all the time, it's nice to let someone else do the cooking for a change. Even if it is only a short break.

We visit Butlins a few times a year, we always like to have our food included. Sometime we have food in the Deck Restaurant, others in the various restaurants Butlins have available for Half Board guests. We tend to go for whichever deal is on offer at the time.

As a family of 6, 4 boys (who love to eat) and 2 girls who have sweet tooth. We all have a love of good  food. Buffets are great, everyone gets to choose exactly what they want to eat. Butlins also have a specially prepared children’s buffet menu, great for the little ones to help themselves.

On our Butlins Ambassador trip to Bognor Regis a few weeks ago, all our  ~ The Deck Hotel Restaurant included in our break. This was perfect for us, staying her before  we knew exactly what yummy food was in store for us.

Here is a sample breakfast menu, they certainly cater for all tastes.
  • Cereals.
  • Yoghurt.
  • Fresh fruit.
  • Cold meats.
  • Freshly prepared omelettes. (a chef waits for you to choose your fillings).
  • Warm pancakes
  • Croissants
  • Danish pastries.
  • Cooked breakfast.
  • Porridge.
  • Kippers.
  • Selection of fruit juices.
  • Warm drinks, including a variety of teas, coffees and my favourite hot chocolate.
  • Cold water.

Dinner time is always fun in our house. It's difficult to keep everyone happy with a set meal.

Buffet meals are a nice change them. Everyone was coming back with a different dish. Who would have thought of mixing fish fingers and chicken nuggets together with cheese!?!  The only problem was someone would bring something back you had not noticed that looked tasty. This tempted you to go back for extras (whoops the diet went out the window!!)

Again a great selection of tasty food for Dinner
  • Salads.
  • Pasta.
  • A different carvery every evening.
  • Fresh vegetables.
  • Selection of fruit juices.
  • Warm drink, including a variety of teas, coffees and hot chocolate.
  • Cold water.

My favourite part of the day.

Treat time...

The Deck has a great selection of cakes, buns, fruit, warm puddings and ice creams to choice from. Trouble is you cannot eat all of them, even though I did try!!

You can also purchase drinks, great if you fancy a nice glass of wine with your meal.

New places that have opened this year in Bognor Regis Butlins are Scoop ice cream parlour and The Diner. We would have loved to try them out, obviously we were all so full from wonderful food in The Deck.

Need another holiday again this summer now..

Holiday Outfits...

Hi everyone, how is your week going?

Good I hope?

Even though it was cloudy most of our time away, I still enjoyed having fun dressing up. I never take too many clothes for myself when we have a break. The kids take so much. Which means less space for me mum and dad.

I do like to to take my shoes with me though.

Heels for night time, check! Comfy flats for day, check! Beach shoes, check! Canvas pumps, check! And trainer for my runs, check! They all have to fit in the suitcase.

I am loving my new belt.

What do you think?

My husband bought it for his holidays, forgetting to try it on....

Aww no, his loss is my gain!! :):)

First up my new H&M cotton polka dot shirt I bought with my birthday money.

Love this, it is so stylish and comfy to wear.

My Selfridge's jeans seam to be getting a bigger hole on the knee every time I wear them!

All teamed up with some new red and purple Nike boots my husband treated me too.

But first, let us take a selfie!!

Top ~ F and F

Shirt ~ F&F
Jeggings ~ Primark
Trainers ~ Nike

Jumpsuit ~ Republic
Shoes ~ Primark

Now off to see if I can find any more holiday outfit snaps.

Wave Hotel : Butlins Bognor Regis...

Last year in the Summer Holidays we had a family a break to Butlins in Bognor Regis. We stayed in the apartments, which were opposite the Wave Hotel. When we left the apartment, we often remarked how lovely the Hotel looked. We mentioned to each other how nice it would be to stay there. Little did I know, months after our break, I would become a Butlins Ambassador, having the chance to stay in the hotel.

How lucky are we!?!

Here is a video I made of the Wave Hotel...

A bit about the Wave Hotel From The Official Guide

The Wave Hotel is perfect for families with older children where you can choose from rooms with sea views and balconies to get the most out of your stay.

There’s an interactive games port and kindle & DVD library as well as a café and lounge area so lots of space for independence in a safe and secure environment.

A stay in our Wave Hotel is excellent value for money and guests can also enjoy a few exclusive perks such as extra live show performances and Splash Waterworld sessions.

Our Journey To Butlins

We started our journey down to Bognor Regis by Train from Nottingham. This way we all got to enjoy our break from the moment we left home. No having to drive for my Husband. He could sit back and enjoy his journey too. From Bognor Train Station it is only a 5 to 10 minutes walk to Butlins. Although we had to walk fast as it was raining when we arrived.

Arrival time

Bank Holiday Monday 2pm in the rain was not the best time to arrive. It was really busy for the check in, taking 40 minutes to get the keys. The staff however were very friendly and helpful. They explained the main attractions on site. Giving us tickets for some exclusive performances of the best shows. Once we got the keys we rushed up to the third floor to our room. Phew 5 minutes rest, before the kids wanted to explore..

Opening the door I first noticed how nice and bright everything was. Everything lovingly arranged, Elephant towels, bright yellow wardrobes, and a super cool underwater themed children's room. Wow.

Having a party of 5, 3 adults 2 children (my 2nd eldest son is now 17) we had interlocking rooms. Plenty of space was lovely. My youngest 2 had their pick of beds. Rather than fighting over their favourite. A nice change.!

The children's room are amazing. With an underwater theme, cool bunk beds TVs at the bottom of each bed.

They really are so much fun, even mum had to try the bunk beds out!!

What's included
  • Kindles available at reception to hire.
  • The Games Port, a light and airy 21st Century games room where you and your family can play each other at all the latest interactive games.
  • iPod input available at front of TVs.
  • Free WiFi.
  • Priority booking for our newest Premium Dining restaurant – the Deck
  • Light and airy Soho Coffee Co. café.
  • 24 hour dedicated reception team.
  • Hotel parking with overflow car park if full.
  • Accessible rooms available.

The lift is cool, carrying on the underwater theme. A fun tune plays, such as the Jaws theme and the song Octopus's Garden.

The children really loved the Game port room. Which is full of interactive and fun games. Such as 3DS Wii PS3 etc. They also had four Apple Macs perfect for checking my blog!!

The beautiful view from our balcony. Over looking the apartment we stayed in last year too, how ironic!?! A perfect view to see when the dining rooms are open. The iconic Skyline pavilion too.

Thins I Liked In The Wave Hotel
  • The Hotel is of a high standard.
  • Daily maid service.
  • 24 hours reception.
  • Free WiFi.
  • Nice bar area.
Everything you would imagine from a top city centre Hotel, in a location you would not expect...
