Self-service buffet, eat as much as you like!?! Yes please...
Whenever we go away, there is nothing I like more than having food included. As a stay at home mum making food all the time, it's nice to let someone else do the cooking for a change. Even if it is only a short break.
We visit Butlins a few times a year, we always like to have our food included. Sometime we have food in the Deck Restaurant, others in the various restaurants Butlins have available for Half Board guests. We tend to go for whichever deal is on offer at the time.
As a family of 6, 4 boys (who love to eat) and 2 girls who have sweet tooth. We all have a love of good food. Buffets are great, everyone gets to choose exactly what they want to eat. Butlins also have a specially prepared children’s buffet menu, great for the little ones to help themselves. I
On our Butlins Ambassador trip to Bognor Regis a few weeks ago, all our ~ The Deck Hotel Restaurant included in our break. This was perfect for us, staying her before we knew exactly what yummy food was in store for us.
Here is a sample breakfast menu, they certainly cater for all tastes.
Freshly prepared omelettes. (a chef waits for you to choose your fillings).
Selection of fruit juices.
Warm drinks, including a variety of teas, coffees and my favourite hot chocolate.
Dinner time is always fun in our house. It's difficult to keep everyone happy with a set meal.
Buffet meals are a nice change them. Everyone was coming back with a different dish. Who would have thought of mixing fish fingers and chicken nuggets together with cheese!?! The only problem was someone would bring something back you had not noticed that looked tasty. This tempted you to go back for extras (whoops the diet went out the window!!)
Again a great selection of tasty food for Dinner
A different carvery every evening.
Selection of fruit juices.
Warm drink, including a variety of teas, coffees and hot chocolate.
My favourite part of the day.
The Deck has a great selection of cakes, buns, fruit, warm puddings and ice creams to choice from. Trouble is you cannot eat all of them, even though I did try!!
You can also purchase drinks, great if you fancy a nice glass of wine with your meal.
New places that have opened this year in Bognor Regis Butlins are Scoop ice cream parlour and The Diner. We would have loved to try them out, obviously we were all so full from wonderful food in The Deck.
Need another holiday again this summer now..
About this post-
We are proud to be part of the Butlins Ambassador program where we got to choose a 4 night stay in the Wave hotel and review our time here...
Even though it was cloudy most of our time away, I still enjoyed having fun dressing up. I never take too many clothes for myself when we have a break. The kids take so much. Which means less space for me mum and dad.
I do like to to take my shoes with me though.
Heels for night time, check! Comfy flats for day, check! Beach shoes, check! Canvas pumps, check! And trainer for my runs, check! They all have to fit in the suitcase.
I am loving my new belt.
What do you think?
My husband bought it for his holidays, forgetting to try it on....
Aww no, his loss is my gain!! :):)
First up my new H&M cotton polka dot shirt I bought with my birthday money.
Love this, it is so stylish and comfy to wear.
My Selfridge's jeans seam to be getting a bigger hole on the knee every time I wear them!
All teamed up with some new red and purple Nike boots my husband treated me too.
But first, let us take a selfie!!
Top ~ F and F
Shirt ~ F&F
Jeggings ~ Primark
Trainers ~ Nike
Jumpsuit ~ Republic
Shoes ~ Primark
Now off to see if I can find any more holiday outfit snaps.
Last year in the Summer Holidays we had a family a break to Butlins in Bognor Regis. We stayed in the apartments, which were opposite the Wave Hotel. When we left the apartment, we often remarked how lovely the Hotel looked. We mentioned to each other how nice it would be to stay there. Little did I know, months after our break, I would become a Butlins Ambassador, having the chance to stay in the hotel.
How lucky are we!?!
Here is a video I made of the Wave Hotel...
A bit about the Wave Hotel From The Official Guide
The Wave Hotel is perfect for families with older children where you can choose from rooms with sea views and balconies to get the most out of your stay.
There’s an interactive games port and kindle & DVD library as well as a café and lounge area so lots of space for independence in a safe and secure environment.
A stay in our Wave Hotel is excellent value for money and guests can also enjoy a few exclusive perks such as extra live show performances and Splash Waterworld sessions.
Our Journey To Butlins
We started our journey down to Bognor Regis by Train from Nottingham. This way we all got to enjoy our break from the moment we left home. No having to drive for my Husband. He could sit back and enjoy his journey too. From Bognor Train Station it is only a 5 to 10 minutes walk to Butlins. Although we had to walk fast as it was raining when we arrived.
Bank Holiday Monday 2pm in the rain was not the best time to arrive. It was really busy for the check in, taking 40 minutes to get the keys. The staff however were very friendly and helpful. They explained the main attractions on site. Giving us tickets for some exclusive performances of the best shows. Once we got the keys we rushed up to the third floor to our room. Phew 5 minutes rest, before the kids wanted to explore..
Opening the door I first noticed how nice and bright everything was. Everything lovingly arranged, Elephant towels, bright yellow wardrobes, and a super cool underwater themed children's room. Wow.
Having a party of 5, 3 adults 2 children (my 2nd eldest son is now 17) we had interlocking rooms. Plenty of space was lovely. My youngest 2 had their pick of beds. Rather than fighting over their favourite. A nice change.!
The children's room are amazing. With an underwater theme, cool bunk beds TVs at the bottom of each bed.
They really are so much fun, even mum had to try the bunk beds out!!
Kindles available at reception to hire.
The Games Port, a light and airy 21st Century games room where you and your family can play each other at all the latest interactive games.
iPod input available at front of TVs.
Priority booking for our newest Premium Dining restaurant – the Deck
Light and airy Soho Coffee Co. café.
24 hour dedicated reception team.
Hotel parking with overflow car park if full.
Accessible rooms available.
The lift is cool, carrying on the underwater theme. A fun tune plays, such as the Jaws theme and the song Octopus's Garden.
The children really loved the Game port room. Which is full of interactive and fun games. Such as 3DS Wii PS3 etc. They also had four Apple Macs perfect for checking my blog!!
The beautiful view from our balcony. Over looking the apartment we stayed in last year too, how ironic!?! A perfect view to see when the dining rooms are open. The iconic Skyline pavilion too.
Thins I Liked In The Wave Hotel
The Hotel is of a high standard.
Daily maid service.
24 hours reception.
Nice bar area.
Everything you would imagine from a top city centre Hotel, in a location you would not expect...
