Park Fun In The Snow!!

Park Fun In The Snow... Yes really!!

If you read any my blogs, follow me on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook you will have seen we got lots of lovely snow on Boxing day. It was great to see the snow arrive and also great to see it go! The last few days when it turns mushy and icy is never good.

My youngest two children are getting a bit to big for the park now and are never really interested in going on the swings, but if they cant go on ... they want to!! Typical eh? This week we have been having lots of fun out in the snow and these pictures were taken the day after boxing day, when the snow was fresh and new. Since then we have had shopping trips, running, walkie talkie fun and a trip to the woods to play Nerf guns in the snow.

A Walk In The Peak District : Bakewell..

We love to take the children out for a walk in the Peak District.

It take some planning though.

Whenever we have a free day off with no school, work or jobs to be done and the weather is fine, a day out exploring is great.

One of our favourite places we visit time and time again is Bakewell.

And it is only around a hour drive away.

At the weekend there is often some fun things happening on the show-ground and we always get distracted. This time we made plans not to shop for long!! (even though there was a cool vintage market on) and head for the hills.

No moaning about all the walking from the children.

Just me!!

Wow I felt so unfit...

Lots of fun climbing the hill and seeing the amazing views..

My son took his bag but we forgot to take supplies of water and sweets, for energy!!

This little lamb was soooooo sweet..

Everyone found extra energy when we was near the bottom
as a visit to the chip shop was promised..

After some energy drink, battered sausage and chips me and my daughter
was ready for a another walk up the hill selfie...

"Best Saturday ever" 11 year old son said to his dad when talking about 'Butlins Splash Waterworld Skegness' when we visited...

On Saturday we were invited to a Butlins Ambassadors meeting in Skegness. We are so happy to be Butlins Ambassadors, and jumped at the chance to spend the day in the Skegness Butlins. Recognise any of the other Butlins ambassadors or the Redcoats in my photos?

Any chance of a selfie?

Or an outfit post?

We have visited Butlins for over 20 years and I still learned lots of new and exciting things off the Redcoats..

Anyone for an oversized sunbed, umbrella and beach ball?

Although I would have loved to stay for the weekend to fit more things in, we had an amazing day...

My husband taking a well earned rest from driving....

Oh wow I could have stayed in Ludo's!! for a good few hours. Time was up though with hubby up early for work on Sunday. We just took a couple of Pizzas to have on the drive home, but how good would it have been to stay and have red wine and ice creams inside?

 They were delicious.

About this post-

We are proud to be Butlins Ambassadors. In 2014 we get to choose a 4 day break at Butlins. I was not paid for this post and all thoughts are my own honest opinion ...

What I Wore...

On Friday my son who is at Uni asked me and my older 3 children to meet him half way from us both in Nottingham for an all you can eat lunch.

Even though it is warming up a little outside, there is still a cold breeze in the air. It was wrap up warm, something not to tight around the waist (with having and all you can eat lunch including all you can eat cakes, Ice-cream and chocolate fountain) and flat shoes for lots of walking.

It Is Never To Windy To Pose!?!...

After seeing my personal video they made everyone to celebrate 10 years on Facebook, I realised all photo are magical.

I joined Facebook in 2009. My 2 youngest children were babies and my young (soon to be men) sons were young teenage.

Every photo tells a story, every story we remember with pride.

My oldest sons waiting to run a race...
The stony beech at Bognor Regis...
Three youngest children making a pop group...
New trainer...
New haircut...
My youngest son eating ice cream at a race track (looking like a toddler)...
On the rides at Butlins...

To mention just a few..

Today's photos tell the story of a cold day to windy to pose!!

A day that no one wanted to go out in but ended up being a really cool day out to shopping with lots of treats...

Me "kids lets go to Nottingham"..

Son " No its to windy!"
Daughter "No way!"

After a hour...

I will buy you a warm sausage roll if your go!?!

Son "Ok then!"
Daughter " I'm waiting at the door!"

After a 30 minute walk to the train station we arrive 10 minutes early for the train.

Come on smile...

Son "No it is to windy!"
Daughter "No! I'm going to pull faces if you take any pictures!"

After taking ages to get out, my son spending a long long time to look for finger skate board in the toy shop, a quick scoot around Primark, we soon realised we had 10 minutes to meet hubby from work. A long way from where we was.

So we ran from one shopping centre to another picking up warm sausage rolls (that got them out in the first place), on the way to meet my husband... we were on time!!

A day we ended up having so much fun...

Also stopping on the way home to pick a few cakes up for the weekend...

So all in all it was a great day, and one not to forget. I

f we had stayed in this day, watching films? it would have been all forgotten about now!!

Fun In Grandma And Grandads Garden...

My mum and dad have a cool large garden and the children can always find plenty of fun things to see and do when we go to visit.

The apples are growing nicely now so soon they will enjoy picking some, eating them and throwing the bad ones at each other that have fell of the tree.

High jump is a favourite out door game with 2 chairs and a stick off the Pampas grass...

Eek nearly made the Jump...

Always an adventure into the top of the garden...

They love to eat the plums, not long now until they ripen

Lots of pretty flower to see...

And somewhere nice to sit and chill

Sadly we ran out of time for -

The Blackpool Tower Dungeon
Blackpool Zoo
Blackpool Model Village & Gardens

We had an amazing time with all the things we managed to fit in.

And here is our video to show you some of the best bits!

All 5 of us enjoyed the weekend, everyone has their highlights.
My Daughters was the Pleasure Beach, particularly laughing at how scared her Dad was. That was just the ghost train!! (just kidding if you are reading dear hubby!!).

The boys both loved the water park loads of slides and waves, that was the breakfast calories worn off.
I enjoyed the Tower, there is always something magical just seeing the Tower. Whether it is the history, child hood memories or just the view. Awe inspiring.
My hard to please hubby loved not paying!!

Everyone as a family loved the Hotel, and also as a great night out we all loved the Viva Blackpool show. This show is a real traditional cabaret show with showgirls, singing, dancing and so much more. Star of the show is Blackpool favourite Leye D Johns. Who is the host and architect to the evening of fun and laughter. A true seaside great.

A bit cheeky in places for a family show, but never vulgar. This show was absolutely fantastic. If you go to Blackpool it is definitely worth seeing. I cannot praise it enough. If my Husband is impressed with something it must be good !!

It even helps with geography as there are some places in Devon I didn't know existed until now. ( You will find out if you see the show).

 About this review-

I won this 2 nights stay as part of a competition with the Tots100 and Visit Blackpool to be a Blackpool Ambassador. Everything above was included and all thoughts are my own honest opinion. We love Blackpool and have been going once or twice a year for over 20 years now. We received no payment for this post.
