Black And White Zebra Scarf Necklace : Perfect For A Day In Bakewell...

A few weeks ago I was sent some lovely scarf necklaces from the BHS Spring Summer 2014 collection. I was asked to styled them up on our days out. This week I am featured over on the BHS blog with the lovely Fritha from Tiger Lilly Quinn, sharing our outfits.

First outfit for a lovely day out walking around Bakewell. Dressed smartly, yet fit for purpose I was ready for a day out in the Peak District. I styled this black and white zebra print one with a red tunic, black and white shrug, black shiny leggings and some red lace up boots.

We love Bakewell, the fish and chips taste amazing. Always to full to try a battered Mars bar though!! Have you tried one? They sound so yummy..

We always sit by the river for lunch. Such a lovely peaceful spot even on busy days...

Something so relaxing about having a nice walk around the river...

A cake from the Bakewell pudding shops are also a must!!

Tunic ~ Asda
Shrug ~ carboot sale

Shoes ~Longsdale

Bakewell is our favourite, get away for the day and relax place.

Where is your favourite place to walk and relax?

About this post~

I was asked to style some of the new scarf necklaces from BHS for the point of this review. All thoughts are my own honest opinion and I did not get paid for this post ...

Great time of year to sort out any old jeans and up cycle them into new shorts. I love mine I made a few weeks back.

What you need
  • Old jeans
  • Pins
  • Sharp scissors
How to make
  1. Simply pin where you would like them to finish.
  2. Cut across 2 inches below for a torn look turn up.
  3. Or cut 4 inches below for a double turn up.

Easy Eh?

Off now to make some whites ones :) If you make some, would love you to share the with us at Creative Mondays?

School Run Style...

The lovely people at Best British Bloggers got in touch with me about a school run style bloggers competition that going on over at Joe Browns website.

They are giving bloggers who are mums the opportunity to win £250 worth of Joe Browns gift vouchers. All you have to do is create an outfit from the styles on Joe Brown website and blog about it.

They have lots of beautiful dresses and tunics in and it was hard narrowing it down to one set but here is the outfit I have chosen.

As the weather is very changeable a jacket is always great to have to hand.I think this looks great for dressing up and down.

Polka dots make me pop!!

I love, love, love polka dots and flowers are my next favourite pattern so this looks fabulous...

One can never have to many jeans and as these are called awesome fit jean then these sound perfect....

Best Of British Espadrilles- I would never say no to red shoes. These look great not to high and not to low...

So what do you think? do you love my school run style as much as I do?

Working Out With The Davina Range At Next....

My new years resolution didn't actually start on the 1st January as I had planned. It was cold and very windy and just too hard to get myself back out running after a lazy month of not much exercise and eating to excess over Christmas. The husband under my feet and four children still off school did not help either!!

After a few more days of wallowing, the 5th January was to be my exercise New Year. A quick weigh in to find I am 3lb heavier and off out the front door I go. A short few mile run to get the legs going again. As always after a spell on the sidelines it's hard work.Hopefully it will get easier as the year goes on..

I have decided this is my year to get super fit I have had 5 years of getting to a stage where I call myself a runner, albeit a slow one.I did a personal best race time of 53 minutes for a 10k race in 2011 even though it was my best I want to get quicker. This year I want to do under 50 minutes and try if I can to get close to my ultimate goal of 45 minutes.

I am back into my running now,yet feel to go to the next level I need to do more, so have rejoined the gym and am starting a Zumba class this week with a friend. One thing Santa did not bring me this year was some new sports kit, I was pleasantly surprised then, when I found out I was one of 10 lucky bloggers to road test the new Davina range for Next.

Remember my post? Next New Shoe And Fitness Collection

Twenty-Twenty Challenge And What I Wore....

I am really fed up with my clothes this week which I picked for the Twenty-Twenty September. I'm not sure if it's my clothes ,the very cold weather then very warm weather or just very very tired from my 200 miles of running in a month challenge.

I am looking forward to next month for getting to wear what I want and not to much running. As I'm not feeling to good about my clothes I thought I would brighten up my pictures of what I've been wearing this week :).....

This is the hop for the Twenty-Twenty September...
