You finished in 34th place

Working Out With The Davina Range At next Week 5.......

This is the last week of the Getting fit with the Davina range at next and wow how quicky it has gone. I have really enjoyed being a part of this challenge and 5 weeks have just flown by.These were the 3 items I got to try were...

The item I loved the most from the 3 items I got to road test was the trainers. They are so comfy and great for Zumba ! I even took them for a long walk on Monday around London on a day out with the children...

Now I know I'm not going to make it to the Olympics 2012 this year on my training but the last few weeks have got me back into exercise.

This weeks exercise was-

Thursday-

3 miles run
Zumba class

Friday-

1 mile run with kids

 Saturday-

7 miles run

Sunday-

2 miles run
Davina Dvd

Monday-

Walking all day around London with kids

Tuesday-

Kids games on X- Box

Wednesday

Kids games on X- Box
have joined a gym, started Zumba,box-fit,spinning and not even counted the 3 miles I have to walk each school days, swimming and playing sporty games on the X-Box with the kids..

Over the 5 week's I have

Ran 91 miles
Atteneded 5 Box-Fit classes
4 Zumba classes
 Zumba and Davina DVDs
2 Gym workouts and
1 spinning class...

Only 3 lb lost but when I put my jeans on for a day out to London they were loose.I just have to chuck the biscuit tin away because the more I exersice the more I reach for them..

My plans this year are-

  • To lose some weight
  • To Get a 50 min sub 10k
  • To get as fit as I can but over the last few weeks it has been hard with getting poorly and the snow holding me up.
Been hard to find time to exersice with the kids of school this week...

What's everyone been up to this week?

Working Out With The Davina Range At next Week 4.......

4 weeks have already gone by and I though this was the last week of working out with the Davina range at next but no I still have one more week left to try and lose some weight. How quickly has this month gone? I have had a fun/packed/tiring/ month fitting as much exercise as possible.

The one thing I have noticed is the more I exercise the more I eat...Although I have only lost 2 pounds this month :( I have done loads more core strength training and as they say muscle weighs heavier than fat !! My friend joked with me this morning I should be hypnotised to stay away from the biscuit tin, interesting thought!!....

Had fun today doing the Davina video, the great thing about DVDs are that no one gets to see you do them unless you want them too !!

I so want Davina's abs !!

This week training was...

Thursday-

6 miles run

Friday-

5 miles run

Saturday-

7 miles run

Sunday-

Day off

Monday-

Box fit class for 1 hour 30 minutes

Tuesday-

1 hour in gym

Wednesday

2 miles run to gym and back
1 miles fitness test
1 hour Davina DVD
This month I got chance to road test the Davina range from Next and this is what I got sent....

I have one more week to prove I can lose some weight...Tips please ....

I'm hoping to find time to get my Davina workout DVD done 3 times this week...

Working Out With The Davina Range At Next....

My new years resolution didn't actually start on the 1st January as I had planned. It was cold and very windy and just too hard to get myself back out running after a lazy month of not much exercise and eating to excess over Christmas. The husband under my feet and four children still off school did not help either!!

After a few more days of wallowing, the 5th January was to be my exercise New Year. A quick weigh in to find I am 3lb heavier and off out the front door I go. A short few mile run to get the legs going again. As always after a spell on the sidelines it's hard work.Hopefully it will get easier as the year goes on..

I have decided this is my year to get super fit I have had 5 years of getting to a stage where I call myself a runner, albeit a slow one.I did a personal best race time of 53 minutes for a 10k race in 2011 even though it was my best I want to get quicker. This year I want to do under 50 minutes and try if I can to get close to my ultimate goal of 45 minutes.

I am back into my running now,yet feel to go to the next level I need to do more, so have rejoined the gym and am starting a Zumba class this week with a friend. One thing Santa did not bring me this year was some new sports kit, I was pleasantly surprised then, when I found out I was one of 10 lucky bloggers to road test the new Davina range for Next.

Remember my post? Next New Shoe And Fitness Collection

My thing's arrived Yesterday...
Here is my outfit I picked...

Here is some great tips for all your fitness plans for Davina...

Tuesday-

Ouch from the Box Fit. 2 miles recovery run A.M

6 miles warm up rep session at running club and cool down

3 miles recovery run

Fitness Fridays : New Year Plans...

This months fitness plans didn't really happen.Been a busy month getting everything ready for Christmas, buying Christmas food and drink early and eating and drinking them, then having to buy again!...

Had a 10k race in December didn't do the time I wanted (sub 50 minutes) but did 53minutes 20 seconds and it was a Personal Best so not all bad...

Just been for a run only second one in a week and felt really heavy, slow and feeling sorry for myself but determine to get fit in 2012...

Plans for 2012...

1.) Running back on track-the hardest thing is getting dressed and out the door once I'm out there everything is good.

2.) Speed work-Speed work is hard and means you have to push yourself which I 'm not a fan of but need to start doing more.

3.) Running more often- Back up to 5-6 days a week as it seems the long I leave between runs the hard it is to run again..

4.) Core strength- I need to beable to pick my legs up!! which makes it hard for me in races...

5.) Races-Do more races I didn't really plan many this year.

6.) Do #Janathon- Run every day though-out January to get my running back on track.

7.) Stress free run-nothing worse than having lots of jobs or things I need to do before a run as I always end up stressing myself out thinking I should be doing them and not enjoying my run.

8.) Sub 45 minutes 10k- I know if I work hard enough this year I can do it.

9.) Long runs at the weekend- not done many long runs this tear at all.The longest run I did do was a few months ago when me and a friend decide to go for a 6 miles run and got lost,we ended up doing 12 miles...

10.) Under 1hr 50mins Half Marathon- Not many long runs this year so I never got around to doing a Half marathon so hopefully if i get my mileage back up I will do a half marathon.

11.) Eat more healthy food instead of refuling on lots of cakes and sugary treats.

12.) Lose a stone in weight to make me run faster.

Hoping to get back on track and be the fittest I have ever been in 2012....

Yesterday I finally found out was making me feed up and bored in my training.I haven't been enjoying running as much for a while as I have been in the past, but I couldn't put my finger on why.Yesterday when I came home from school my husband told me there was a email waiting for me.To my surprise he had booked me a place in a 10k race that I would have like to run but thought I was to late to enter, and all of my friends are running it at Christmas. This not only gave me something to to look forward to it has given me something to get out and train for in 4 week's on Sunday....I have only ran one 10k race this year and did it in 54 minutes but this was 3 miles up hill 3 miles down hill.I would really Love a sub 50 minutes 10k time....Watch this space :)

This weeks training...

Saturday- 6 miles running.

Sunday - 7 miles running.

Monday - 5 and half miles running.

Tuesday 7 miles running and reps at running club.

Wednesday- 3 miles running

Thursday -7 half  miles running and reps at club

Friday- day off.

"Running is a big question mark that's there each and every day. It asks you, 'Are you going to be a wimp or are you going to be strong today?'" - Peter Maher, Canadian marathon runner

2 weeks ago I was feeling sorry for myself after doing 201 miles of running in September I only managed 105 miles in October and last week I set to do lots of exercise but only managed 2 days.If you don't feel like running you just can't make yourself. This week I am back on track(I think) getting out running and starting to feel good about running again. This week's training has been....

Saturday- 7 miles running.

Sunday -Day off

Monday - 7 miles running.

Tuesday 7 miles running and reps at running club.

Wednesday- 5 miles running

Thursday -7 miles running and reps at club

Friday- day off.

The last few week I have been feeling sorry for myself but you don't get no where doing that do you....onwards and upwards ...

You also need to look back, not just at the people who are running behind you but especially at those who don't run and never will... those who run but don't race...those who started training for a race but didn't carry through...those who got to the starting line but didn't in the finish line...those who once raced better than you but no longer run at all. You're still here. Take pride in wherever you finish. Look at all the people you've outlasted."
- Joe Henderson

I love all motivation Quotes they make me feel good my favourite is

“Every morning in Africa, a Gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a Lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest Gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn't matter whether you are a Lion or a Gazelle... when the sun comes up, you'd better be running.”

Fitness Fridays...

Well it has been a while since I wrote my Fitness Friday post 3 weeks now :( .....

I have still been exercising but not as much as I would have liked to.Running is feeling hard again but I think it maybe because -

1) I went all out last month and ran over 200 .

2) Maybe I pushed myself to hard in the first cross country and ran my fastest ever mile @7-33 pace and had to stop half way with really painful stitch and then quit because the pain was unbearable to run with.

3) Not been out and done much running this month as it seams to be really hard effort.Only on 73 miles for the month is a big drop from last month.

4) Or it could be I'm really feeling sorry for myself....

Either way I'm starting a fresh tomorrow, why does everything start tomorrow and not today with me!!!!

This weeks plans are-

1.) Starting to get my mileage back up...

2.) X-training on my bike....

3.)Core exercises...

4.) Get some races booked...

Here are my plans but with the kids of will I manage to get them done?

The last weeks training was-
  • Saturday 7 miles with hill reps included.
  • Sunday day off.
  • Monday 4 mile run.
  • Tuesday 13 mile bike.
  • Tuesday 7 miles running club with hill reps.
  • Wednesday day off.
  • Thursday 8 miles with 12*400 meter sprints included.
  • Friday day off.

Fitness Fridays....

What a month it has been I've ran in the cold, light rain, heavy rain, warm, windy and now red hot weather.Been out with friends and family helping me along what seams to have been a very fast month all helping me along to reach my 200 miles challenge...and today I completed it on the last day of the month 201 miles of running done.......

Today was the hardest run of them all feeling tired from running 20*200meters reps at club last night at an average of 7-15 minutes mileing maybe the fastest I've run all month my legs were tired and in pain @11.25 pace but I kept going until my watch said 3 miles and then walked the last bit home and over last weekend I completed not 1 long run but 2 which I've not done a long run in ages and had my second day off  (rest day) from running in a month this week too....

But now I have completed my 200 miles in a month challenge.

Training this week I've done....

Saturday.       11 Miles running

Sunday.          12 Miles running

Monday.         6 Miles running

Tuesday.         6 Miles bike ride
                       6 Miles running

Wednesday.    day off

Thursday.       6 Miles running

Friday.          3 Miles running

And back on it tomorrow with an early hill rep session planned before the lovely sun comes out...no rest for the wicked....

Now I think I will have a nice cream bun tonight.....
