Get Fit Or Eat Pie Trying Week # 4

"For me its Get Fit Or Eat Pie Trying "

Last week as been such hard work think I have wore myself out a little or got run down with a cold. I did manage to get 2 good rep sessions at the running club and my first race for a long time on Saturday the first ever Parkrun with open here. Although they don't encourage it as being a race I was pleased with my time @ 7.54 average pace per mile, here is my 5K summery-

Results for event #1. Your time was 24:34.

You finished in 34th place

Were the 6th lady out of a field of 61 park runners

 You came 2nd in your age category VW35-39

So I was pleased with this time,off to do it all again tomorrow...

 This weeks exercise was-

Friday- Day off

Saturday - 3.11 miles race at 7.54 pace

3 miles cool down at 11.51 pace

Sunday - 3 miles run

Monday - Day off from running

Tuesday - 2 miles warm up /cool down

                 5.5 miles reps at running club

Wednesday - Day off

Thursday - 1 hour body combat
                   3 miles warm up/cool down
                   3 miles reps at running club

Get Fit Or Eat Pie Trying # Week 3 ...

Goals-

A under 2 hour half marathon 

  A under 50 minutes 10k

This week not only did we get the marathon numbers through the post that we have decied not to do also our letter from the people at London Marathon came through to tell me if I had a place...

And....

 We entered and didn't get in :):):)

I know I should be sad but it was a huge relief as training up for a marathon was so much like hard work and having a large family I didn't have hours free at the weekend to run.This is why I pulled out of the Chester Marathon which is a week on Sunday.

Onwards and upwards now and new goals to set and Pb to make!!.

 I have decided to run Worksop half marathon in 4 weeks time so with the marathon training I did manage to do hopefully I should be ok.

In other news we have a park run starting near us this week..whoo this should be fun a free time 5k race every Saturday...

This weeks exercise was-

Friday-  6 miles ran

Saturday -  7 miles ran

Sunday - 5 miles ran

Monday - Day off from running

Tuesday - 3 miles warm up /cool down

                 4 miles reps,8x half mile reps

Was so pleased with these fastest I have run in a long long time.Average mile over 4 miles 7.50 pace

Wednesday - 4 miles slow recovery pace 11 mins a mile was hard work after yesterdays efforts

                      1 hour weights class

Thursday - 1 hour body combat

                   2 miles warm up/cool down

                  16 x 300 mtrs with 100 jog recovery could tell I had worked hard Tuesday as these was 8.42 pace!!

Get Fit Or Eat Pie Trying # Week 2....

Goals -A under 2 hour half marathon 

            A under 50 minutes 10k

And if I do get in London-just to be able to run a marathon!!
   
Was very pleased with last weeks training I put my training on Dailymile and last weeks I had ran 38 miles as well as a few exercise classes.

This weeks exercise was-

Friday- Rest day not had a day off for 9 days so need this.

Saturday -  Just under 3 miles -eek weekend and I had a few glasses of wine Friday night and didn't want to run...

Sunday - 8 miles was tough on my own early but kept on running

Monday - 7 mile run  fast for me at 9.15 pace and 1 mile cool down at 12 mins

Tuesday - 45 minutes spin class ( first time back in 3 months)
                45 minutes fit ball class ( first time back in 3 months)
              6 and half miles warm up/reps at running club/cool down

Wednesday - 3 miles recovery run
                      1 hour weights class
                      just under 4 miles in afternoon

Thursday - body combat class
                  Half mile swim

Been a busy week and my arms and stomach mussels are killing " No Pain No Gain " springs to mind

Get Fit Or Eat Pie Trying # Week 1....

After the kids being off for six weeks my training has started to get better it's so much like hard work trying to get fit with 4 kids off school.We booked a marathon but didn't get chance over the holiday to get the miles in so now my goals have changed again I am now training for this year -

A under 2 hour half marathon  
A under 50 minutes 10k 
And if I do get in London-just to be able to run a marathon!!
 
 
This week I have had time to start back with my training-

Friday- 3 miles run on the treadmill + half mile swim
         
Saturday - 9 miles run

Sunday - 3 and half miles run

Monday - 7 mile run + 3 miles treamill run in afternoon

Tuesday - 5 miles reps + warm up/cool down

Wednesday - 1 hour weight class + 6 miles run

Thursday - 5 miles warm up,reps and cool down

Loving having time to exercise...

Working Out With The Davina Range At next Week 5.......

This is the last week of the Getting fit with the Davina range at next and wow how quicky it has gone.

I have really enjoyed being a part of this challenge and 5 weeks have just flown by.These were the 3 items I got to try were...



The item I loved the most from the 3 items I got to road test was the trainers.They are so comfy and great for Zumba !!!

I even took them for a long walk on Monday around London on a day out with the children...



Now I know I'm not going to make it to the Olympics 2012 this year on my training but the last few weeks have got me back into exercise.


This weeks exercise was-

Walking all day around London with kids

I have joined a gym,started Zumba,box-fit,spinning and not even counted the 3 miles I have to walk each school days,swimming and playing sporty games on the X-Box with the kids..

Over the 5 week's I have

Ran 91 miles

Atteneded 5 Box-Fit classes

4 Zumba classes

done some Zumba and Davina DVDs

2 Gym workouts and

1 spinning class...

only 3 lb lost but when I put my jeans on for a day out to London they were loose.

I just have to chuck the biscuit tin away because the more I exersice the more I reach for them..

My plans this year are-

To lose some weight

To Get a 50 min sub 10k

and to get as fit as I can but over the last few weeks it has been hard with getting poorly and the snow holding me up.

Been hard to find time to exersice with the kids of school this week...

Working Out With The Davina Range At next Week 4.......

4 weeks have already gone by and I though this was the last week of working out with the Davina range at next but no I still have one more week left to try and lose some weight. How quickly has this month gone? I have had a fun/packed/tiring/ month fitting as much exercise as possible.

The one thing I have noticed is the more I exercise the more I eat...Although I have only lost 2 pounds this month :( I have done loads more core strength training and as they say muscle weighs heavier than fat !! My friend joked with me this morning I should be hypnotised to stay away from the biscuit tin,interesting thought!!....

Had fun today doing the Davina video,the great thing about DVDs are that no one gets to see you do them unless you want them too !!



I so want Davina's abs !!


This week training was...


Thursday-

6 miles run

Friday-

5 miles run

Saturday-

7 miles run

Sunday-

Day off

Monday-

Box fit class for 1 hour 30 minutes

Tuesday-

1 hour in gym

Wednesday

2 miles run to gym and back

1 miles fitness test

1 hour Davina DVD

This month I got chance to road test the Davina range from Next and this is what I got sent....





I have one more week to prove I can lose some weight...Tips please ....

I'm hoping to find time to get my Davina workout DVD done 3 times this week...

Working Out With The Davina Range At next Week 3.......

For my readers who missed last weeks post, here is a laugh for you .Me working out. 

The outfit is my Davina range clothes from Next. Nice and loose.
Got a great surprise through the post on Saturday the lovely people at Next and Davina sent me Davinas new workout video to try I can't wait to get started on it.Haven't had much time this week to try it but I will let you know next week what I think !!


Wore myself out a little  lot last week with Zumba,box-fit, gym work and running.On Thursday I not only ran to a Zumba class and ran home I decided to go to the running club that night.

Friday an hour in the gym including 2 half miles running on the treadmill and I decide that my husband could drop me of 5 miles away from home on his way to work!! big mistake as my legs were killing and had to run home because I only had just over an hour to pick the kids up from school.

Friday night I had a meal out with my friends from the running club.Lots of yummy red wine and a hangover next morning so it took me a few days to get back into exercising...

This weeks exersice...

Thursday-

1 hour Zumba class

3 miles run

5 miles farklet with running club

Friday-

1 hour gym work

5 miles run

Saturday-

Day off

Sunday-

Day off

Monday-

Box fit class for 1 hour 30 minutes

3 Mlies run

Tuesday-

4 miles run

This song below has got me moving and groving to the house work this week it so funny.Pump the volume up and have a little wiggle go on have a little laugh no ones looking !!!....

Working Out With The Davina Range At next Week 2.......

Working Out With The Davina Range At next Week 1.......


Had a good  first week getting fit with the Davina Range at next but a bad week for feeling ill and having to push through it ...

This week exercise-


Thursday- 1 hour Zumba class
                 3miles run

Friday-     5 Miles run

Saturday-Woke up with a bad throat so day off

Sunday-   Half Hour Zumba Dvd
                  3 miles run
Monday- Box fit class for 1 hour 30 minutes

Tuesday-7 miles warm up rep session at running club and cool down,felt a cold coming on again! :(

Wednesday- Day off with the weather turning cold and coughs and colds around I've felt really under the weather today.Head spinning and shaking,nose blocked. I just hope I'm ok for Zumba tomorrow...

Working Out With The Davina Range At Next....

My new years resolution didn't actually start on the 1st January as I had planned.It was cold and very windy and just too hard to get myself back out running after a lazy month of not much exercise and eating to excess over Christmas. The husband under my feet and four children still off school did not help either!!

After a few more days of wallowing, the 5th January was to be my exercise New Year. A quick weigh in to find I am 3lb heavier and off out the front door I go. A short few mile run to get the legs going again.As always after a spell on the sidelines it's hard work.Hopefully it will get easier as the year goes on..

I have decided this is my year to get super fit I have had 5 years of getting to a stage where I call myself a runner, albeit a slow one.I did a personal best race time of 53 minutes for a 10k race in 2011 even though it was my best I want to get quicker.This year I want to do under 50 minutes and try if I can to get close to my ultimate goal of 45 minutes.

I am back into my running now,yet feel to go to the next level I need to do more, so have rejoined the gym and am starting a Zumba class this week with a friend.One thing Santa did not bring me this year was some new sports kit, I was pleasantly surprised then, when I found out I was one of 10 lucky bloggers to road test the new Davina range for  Next.

This week exercise so far-

Sunday-

6 miles run this was the longest run since my race in December and felt good to run long again

Monday-

Box fit class for 1 hour 20 minutes followed by a 4 mile run with a Friend.

Tuesday-

Ouch from the Box Fit. 2 miles recovery run A.M

6 miles warm up rep session at running club and cool down

Wednesday-

3 miles recovery run
