Roald Dahl Curtain Collection...

Over the last few months; I've been very busy giving the house a makeover before Christmas. First up I ripped out old kitchen cabinets and added new pine shelves. Which I then stained black. They felt like they took forever... Also I have also giving my daughters room a brand new makeover.

Before I started, her bedroom was painted baby pink and she was always stuck for room to move around. Being the smallest room in the house she did not have much spare room to play in with her bed, wardrobe, shelves and drawers in. Now she is at secondary school she needed plenty of  space to do her homework. It was time she had a loft bed with a table underneath to create a bit more floor space.

Planning A Spring Bedroom Makeover...

Over the last few weeks I have seemingly caught cold after cold. In the process getting myself very run down. When you are weak you tend to notice things that would not normally bother you. One thing then which has been particularly annoying me, is how much clutter we seem to have. It is ridiculous.

I sometimes feel we need a bigger house, maybe all we need is a good clear out?  I am sure the house would feel much bigger if we could hire a skip for a few days.

Kitchen Makeover : Pasta Vase...

I picked this vase up from Ikea £1.00 what a bargain!?! Use and old vase, new vase or a recycled large jar.

You will need

  • Glass vase
  • Candles
  • Dried pasta
  • Fake leaves
  • Glue

What to do
  • Grab your vase.
  • Placed some candles in the middle for display.
  • Fill the jar with some dried pasta around the candles.
  • Stick the leaves on with a glue on each leave.
  • Then tie some garden twine around.
*Leaves and glue was gifted to me for review on my other blog clairejustineoxox.
*I was not paid for this post.

Shoe Cabinet For Under £30.00...

Having a large family, hiding all the shoes away can be a big task. I have been looking for ages for a big shoe rack that looks nice and tidy, holds lots of shoes and is trendy in the hallway too. Having broken our last shoe rack how could I add all our shoes onto the little shelves that you see in the shops?

Upcycle Candles...

Up-cycled Candles...

I have a few candles around the house that I never use, just as decoration and they always get hidden and pushed to the back of the bookshelves or placed in a draw due to them looking a bit plain and boring.
