What I Wore...

The only trouble with having jeans with holes in the knee is that I am always rushing to get dressed and end up putting my foot through!! Grrr....

Loving this Spring weather we are having, the sunshine really does put you in a good mood, their is is a chill in the air though to remind us Spring is not quite here yet.

Last Thursday I got up to 14 miles on my run and was feeling really pleased but every time I push myself harder it knocks me down with a bang. This week has been a struggle again with my running and there is only 24 days 2 hours and  33 minutes till my marathon race day ( when posted this post!!) Not that I'm counting or anything ;)

I really need my name putting on my vest this year. It is no fun running a marathon when others have their name on theirs and everyone is cheering them on an not you!!

Lucky for me I did get to run along side some Claire's!!

This year I am just going to enjoy the race, all the people in it last year and I ran around feeling sorry for myself by going to fast maybe and hurting my knees half way! Thinking of taking my phone with me to do some pictures and see if I can spot any famous people this time around.

With my husband having a Saturday off work today we went Shopping....Yeah...

A Quick visit to my mother-in -laws house, and a trip into Chesterfield for breakfast,  and me to buy some crafting things first.

Then off to shopping to ....Meadowhall.

Can't believe we went today, if you watched Ant and Dec's Take away show  tonight? you will have seen the super computer is going to be there on Monday giving some holiday tickets away,,,Grrr can't get Monday!!

A mad few hours around the shops, wow it is packed on Saturdays, them home for some yummy Pizza.

This time I had a plan, when it is busy, shopping with the children too and I have no plan, I end up buying nothing. So this time I had a plan, new shoes for walking miles when we go to London. Something bright, comfy and fabulous.

Converse! ...I had these in mind! After changing my mind in every shop, blue ,red, pink, light blue I ended up with these.

With 5 coloured tongues that could go with most things I own, what not to love!?!

Keds Autumn/Fall 13 Review...

I was super excited to be asked if I would like to review a pair of Keds new arrival autumn 13 canvas shoes. I am a huge fan of the comfy canvas shoes, as you can dress them up with  dresses and skirts or wear them casual with jeans and shorts. I have taken a look through the fall 13 collection and it is amazing, lots of star, strips, sequins, bright colours and cosmic ones too.

Aww you may have guessed how much I love these shoes and I think these Americana-inspired sneaks are just perfect style for Autumn/Winter. How cute will these look with my skinny navy blue jeans and chunky red scarf?

As the collection are just arriving at the Keds website, I was not expecting them to arrive till September. You can imagine what a nice surprise it was when they arrived!! and the squeal!!

About the new Keds

These Champion Patriotic printed canvas upper shoes come in 2 colours, blue with white stars and red around the stars and white with blue star and red around the stars. They are a Keds website exclusive. They have 4 eyelet lace up, 2 pair of laces, one off white colour thin laces and thick navy laces for you to dress them how you like. Soft breathable lining with a cushioned insole an a flexible, textured rubber outer sole. Trimmed with a brown finishing touch and the iconic keds label on the tongue, back, side and sole.

Cost £40.00

About Keds in their own works

In 1916, Keds created the original trainer-or as they like to say, the first ever "feel-like-everyday's-a-Saturday" shoe. But that was a bit of a mouthful... so instead they called it the Champion. With silent rubber soles (superb for sneaking up!), and a featherweight feel, the Champion more than lived up to its playfully confident name. On legends and icons, it danced through the decades to become a true-blue American go-to.

Here is my outfit I have wore with them so far...

The question will be not what will I be wearing them with, But what wont I be wearing them with!!

They are great for shopping, sneaking out for a drink to the pub with the hubby and perfect for looking smart on the school run.

How would you style the Keds?

About this review- I was sent a pair of the new Autumn collection Keds for the purpose of this review. I was not paid for this post and all opinions are my own honest view

Keds Shoes Review...

Spring has sprung and what a great time to think about summer shoes and clothes? Last week when the sun was shining it was a good reason to clear out some of my winter things I no longer need, to make way for my new season wardrobe. I love shoes and any reason to buy shoes even something tenuous such as a new season can and will be used to justify a purchase!

After doing this clear out I was contacted to see if I would like to review a pair of Keds Spring/Summer 2012 collection....Perfect timing as I was just looking forward to picking something new for spring. They have a great range of canvas shoes in all kinds of great colours. I went for this grey lace ups because I know they will good with lots of my clothes in my wardrobe...

About Keds

A fashion remake of Sneaker Originals In 1916, Keds created a shoe with a soft rubber sole. This original sneaker, called “the Champion,” has remained a style icon for almost 100 years. From movie stars, artists and tennis pros to first ladies and beatniks, just about everyone had a pair of Keds.

Nowadays, Keds offers many choices of shoes both new and authentic whilst holding on to the trendy, narrow silhouette that makes the Keds sneaker distinctive. The new Spring 2012 collection is inspired by two on-trend themes: Lawn Party and Pool Side.

The Lawn Party theme mixes Keds heritage and 2012 style. Classic and smart silhouettes with a tailored flair, made from materials such as linen and Hopsack and designed with plaids and stripes. The Pool Side theme exhibits new styles with bright, simple colour palettes or jutes and tropical prints.
