What I Wore : Into The Green

Yeah the fog has gone, the rain has stopped and the sun is shining :)

About time too!!

With a mad busy week planned, and lots of outside adventures to do, it is lovely to see the sunshine out. Over the next few days I have a big decision to make. To do or not to do London marathon? Being injured, ill or injured over the last few months I still have only 1 14 miles run under my belt.

So do I run the marathon with my phone, enjoy it, walk, run, eat, drink, run take pictures and selfie or defer it till next year?

On well we will see.. watch this space...

I Want To Ride My Bicycle...

I really do not feel like running at the minute. Since tiring myself out with a 14 miles run a week and half ago, I've not ran. This marathon I am training up for is really playing with my mind. Only 2 weeks on Sunday until the big day. I will be glad when it is over!!

Today my husband took me out on a bike ride, I had forgot how good it is going out on the bikes. We had a fun ride to Newstead Abbey and took some lovely picture. Wow it was lovely and warm, so it was a big shock when we came home and seen the snow falling!! luckily it only stayed 5 minutes...

Clap Along If You know What Happiness Is To You...

"It might seem crazy what I'm about to say"
"Sunshine she's here, you can take away"

What do you do when your feeling tired and unwell, it is raining, your carrying your daughters shopping bags through a busy part of London, after your son has been ages looking and buying goodies from the Arsenal shop and all your husband is doing is winding you up taking picture???

Sing and dance in the street to the song Happy by Pharrell Williams and embarrass them all!!!

Sure did the trick...

What I Wore...

The only trouble with having jeans with holes in the knee is that I am always rushing to get dressed and end up putting my foot through!! Grrr....

Loving this Spring weather we are having, the sunshine really does put you in a good mood, their is is a chill in the air though to remind us Spring is not quite here yet.

Last Thursday I got up to 14 miles on my run and was feeling really pleased but every time I push myself harder it knocks me down with a bang. This week has been a struggle again with my running and there is only 24 days 2 hours and  33 minutes till my marathon race day ( when posted this post!!) Not that I'm counting or anything ;)

I really need my name putting on my vest this year. It is no fun running a marathon when others have their name on theirs and everyone is cheering them on an not you!!

Lucky for me I did get to run along side some Claire's!!

This year I am just going to enjoy the race, all the people in it last year and I ran around feeling sorry for myself by going to fast maybe and hurting my knees half way! Thinking of taking my phone with me to do some pictures and see if I can spot any famous people this time around.

When You Go Giving Your Heart Make Sure They Deserve It...

What I wore~

Dress ~ Primark
Belt ~ Primark
Tights ~ Primark
Shoes ~ Cheeky shoes

I have really wore myself out this week trying to get the miles in for London marathon, noticed I've not been posting my outfits much?

11 miles on Monday was a struggle then I went to running club ( first time in months) on Tuesday and ended up doing 9 miles, 5 of which was mile efforts at a good pace for me. I could not walk properly for 2 days afterwards!!

Running this week has been tough then a struggle again to get out the door, I am really hoping next week is going to be much better!!

Mad, busy day Yesterday. Taking the children shopping in Nottingham is really hard work. It was so busy in the Victoria shopping centre I thought it was Christmas. Shopping when busy really tires me out too.

Then today my daughter had a birthday party and I had to walk a few miles to bring her home as my husband had to go to work before it had finished...I really need to get a energy boost from somewhere???

Can't believe its long run day again tomorrow!!

Loving this new dress I picked up in the sales though, Such a bargain at £3.00 !!!

Sportsshoes Winter Running Kit Review...

It has been a hard few weeks trying to getting back into a running routine after Christmas. Throughout December I did get very lazy in my running eating loads of snacks and treats which are no good for me.

After a few weeks of over eating it really is hard to cut back down again. Once the children went back to school  I tried to cut down and feel that I am now eventually getting there!

I am very pleased that my running is now back on track too as I am training for the London marathon in April, I really do need to get the miles back up.

Monday is the day I can fit my long run in, I managed to get up to 10 miles last week and 11 miles today, which is pleasing. One thing I really wish though was that Santa had brought me was some new running clothes.

It really cheers you up having something new to wear for running especially when you do not feel like getting out the door.

That is the hardest part of running for me is the first step, all dressed in my running kit, trainers on and ready to run. Especially when it is so cold outside and warm n cozy inside!!

A big help to cheer me up my winter blues was last week when I was offered some new running kit from Sportsshoes to review.

Yeah new running kit...

I was pleasantly surprised when I visited their website with the price of the Nike running kit. I usually go for sport shops own brand as they are the cheapest to buy but I always love the Nike products. I picked out 5 pieces of Nike kit that can all be mixed and matched for less than £90.00.

This is the kit I got for racing and running the London marathon in. I do not like anything around my knees when trying to go fast so this kit is perfect for fast training and racing. These 2 in 1 shorts feel a really nice fit.

If cold I can layer both tops the long sleeve compression top keeps you comfortable and dry and the reflective shirt over the top is perfect to be seen running at night.

These straight leg running tights feel great and good for going to the gym to do exercise classes as well as running. They look great with both tops.

These running tights feel great on to, I can't wait to try them out on a running club night now. I feel as though I will be able to run fast in these.

Overall thoughts

I am very please with all the items I received. They all fit perfect, look great and are really good prices. I have my training, gym wear and race kit all ready for the next few months now.

Want help with training and nutrition?

They have a lots of expert advice over at The Running Hub for anything you need to know about running, sportswear and nutrition.

About this post- I got to choose some running kit from Sportsshoes.Com for the purpose of this review. All thoughts are my own honest option and I was not paid for this post.

What I Wore : First Of The Sale Bargains...

( My legs and face are not dirty lol, I used photo editing to make my boring plain background pictures look better ;))

What I Wore~
-shirt ~ Primark
Skirt ~ Primark
Shoe/boots ~ Deichmann
Trying to get fit again after Christmas is seriously hard work!!

I can not believe it is 3 months and 5 days away till London Marathon. I am only up to 6 miles after having a really lazy December.

Wow I am so aching after on 30 minutes at the gym and 5 miles running yesterday!!

First up of my bargains in the sale is this pencil skirt. I loved the style as soon as I seen it and when I noticed the £3.00 price it went straight into the basket (amongst other bargains!)

I did come out of my hot blood 5 minutes after taking pictures and teamed it up with a big chunky cardigan I also picked up in the sale but will have to post this later on in the week. Remember the big chunky Aaron cardigans that lots of grandmas knitted? Aww my grandma always made me lots bless her, I notice these are big everywhere so I grabbed myself 2, one cream and one grey.

I still have not got around to wearing my Christmas presents I mention yet. Santa was very kind to me this year and brought me some 3 pairs of Irregular choice shoes which I love, love love. Just need somewhere to go to show them off now :)

What I Wore : Sales Shopping...

What I Wore~

Gold top ~ Dorothy Perkins

Dress ~ Primark
Tights ~ F and F
Boots ~ Barratts

Wow it was a beautiful day today?

The sun was shining the sky was blue, a little chilly out of the sunshine but great weather for January. We took a ride out to the shops in Derby for a change, somewhere the children had never visited.

Parking up at the park and ride once on the bus we notice our daughter carrying her Sophia the first teddy that Santa had brought her (ones that they sell in most shop!). So for the first half hour, you know who got to babysit the princess teddy outside all the toy shops until they had brought something, eventually my son got some toys so we could pop her in a carry a bag.

Boy did I get some strange looks, I felt like shouting "it's not mine honest!!" ha-ha...

I am sure my husband wishes he did not go bearing in mind he never brought anything and I got a few bags full.

I think the shops have been picked over now?

I did get a few bargains, a heart dress from Primark for £3.00 and a lovely skirt with blue lips on from H & M for £4.00. Never one to miss a spending spree!

I spotted some nice boots on line at The Garage shoe shop but never seen anything better in the shops so I need to order some now I'm back.

Once I got home I was freezing, bare arms in January!

I did buy a nice chunky cardigan though, just like the ones my grandma use to knit me...

5 minutes nap under 2 duvets to warm me up a cup of tea and biscuits helped me to recover to do my run, 3 miles in the dark on my own is not my idea of fun but it has to be done and I felt loads better for it...

Have you been around the sales?

Do you prefer going around the shops or shopping on line?

Have you picked up a bargain in the sales yet?
