Pimp Up Your Reebok :Upcycled

These stick on crystal jewels I picked up from the Pound shop are my new favourite crafty thing. I will be sticking them onto everything. For this recycle project all I used was half a pack (50p's worth) some glitter, glue and modge podge...

Before...

These trainers were in the garage waiting to be put into the recycle box. Old, dirty but with still a good sole on them, I thought I would give them a make over...

After...

You will need...

  • Old trainers
  • Stick on crystals
  • Strong glue
  • Silver glitter
  • Red glitter
  • Modge podge
  • Old pot for modge podge and glitter.
  • Glue brush.

What to do...

  • Glue a line around the outside of the area you want to cover, a little at a time as the glue dries fast (enough for a strip of crystals).
  • Take a strip of crystals and place on the glue, moving to curves in pattern.
  • Repeat inwards, going round and round until you reach the middle.
  • Pull off a few crystals for any little gaps left and stick in.
  • Leave to dry.
  • Mix a little modge podge and silver glitter for tops of shoes, brush the glitter glue over the tops.
  • Leave to dry.
  • Mix some modge podge and some red glitter.
  • Paint the red glitter over heels, ( and anywhere else like back or tongue) wrap some tin foil over glue to keep it from drying.
  • Repeat above around 3 or 4 times.
  • Wash the shoe laces in a bit of bleach, for a new effect.

Jelly Sandals : Next Big Trend?

Remember wearing the jelly shoes and sandals or shoes when you was younger?

I remember wearing them around the 80's and my children wearing them when they was little too.

I had the big holey see through plastic bags too, loved them!!

They brought them out for adults last year but are set to be a big trend this year as they are everywhere I look!

Not brave enough last year but at a bargain price, I will try any fashion trend.

I have seen all colours around and mostly priced between £9.99 -£19.99 but when I stumbled upon them today in Primark at £4.00 a pair, I had to buy some.

Which colour florescent, no black, no glitter...what to do? oh well I brought all the colours they had in!!

What do you think?

At first try they feel so comfy too...

If I get on with them ok, I'm going for the style with a chunky heel next...

Up Fashioned Ruby Slipper Style Glitter Shoes...

Have I created the perfect pair of shoes?  "No"

Have I created the perfect ornament?  "yeah!!!!"

I love love love this pair of shoes, think Dorothy from The Wizard Of Oz's shoes with heels!!

But this was a pair I brought years ago from the car boot sale that don't fit....

I brought these shoes cos the were brand new, I didn't really like them but for a £1.00 and new they were a bargain.

I might have liked them , if they fit but...

I got them home but they were to small.

Stored..

For years in the garage...

Ahh "these can be my modge podge glitter shoe test pair right!!" "I thought"

Modge podge, glitter, a wilkhow tutorial and a pair of unused shoes, simple eh?

Oh and some red nail polish to change the brown bit at the toes...

Might not fit me but they look amazing on my widow, catching the sunshine and shining glitter..

Great for a photo shoots though!?!

I was very pleased to be asked by Bridal Shoes UK a few weeks ago to try out their wedding shoe service.

I love love love my shoes but do not own, or indeed have ever owned my very own pair of stunning wedding shoes, how exciting!!

After looking through their wide range of beautiful wedding shoes I was going to pick a pair of shoes from their shoe dying service. I loved the idea of this service, Simply pick you favourite pair of shoes and have them dyed into whichever colour you want!! A great idea! And you can even try the shoes on before you have them dyed to make sure they fit perfectly.

While I was wondering which colour to choose. I stumbled upon this beautiful pair of Claret-red satin peep toe shoes and I thought how lovely they were, then I noticed it came with a matching evening bag, perfect of any special occasions. Red is my favourite colour so these were my perfect choice. No need to alter them.

I can honestly say I have never looked at a wedding boutique website before this one. We got married nearly 18 years ago. The internet was in its infancy so we relied on the shops in our local area for all our wedding ideas and clothing etc. How I wish this was available then. I am tempted to re marry to get some more wedding shoes !! Or at least renew my vows!!! I would have been planning everything for months.

This is the sort of site you can while away the hours on. Great really for gifts for others your own wedding or just as a treat. The shoes are very competitively priced so an extra pair for the wardrobe is not too much to ask is it?

About this post ~ I got chance to pick a pair of shoes from Bridal Shoes for the purpose of this review. I did not get paid for this post and all thoughts are my own honest opinion...
