What Are The Best Colour And Style Tops To Go With The Classic White Jeans?

A few weeks ago over on twitter F & F (Clothing At Tesco) had a twitter party where they was giving away
some gift vouchers to spend on new clothes. They were asking their followers to tweet using the hastag #SummerSOS and ask them your summer dilemma fashion question. They tweeted back an answer to help you out with your fashion question and also entered you into the draw for a prize.

Here is what they tweeted...

F&F ‏@FandFclothing"Watch our video with fashion expert @AngelaButtolph. We'll be solving your style dilemmas live on Tuesday. #SummerSOS"

I have a few pair of white trousers and never ever wear them. Thing is with light trousers is I am never sure of what to wear with them. So my question was...

"What are the best colour/style top to go with the classic white jeans? I have 2 pair never wore @FandFclothing @AngelaButtolph #SummerSOS"

I got this very helpful reply ..

Hi @Clairejustineo. Update classic white jeans with SS14's neon shades. Shop #SummerSOS: here F&F and my personalised Vine message.

Later I received a message to say I had won a voucher to pick something on-line from there website. Yeah.. So here is all the tops I brought to go with my white jeans. Most of them were in the sale too so I got plenty of fun shirts, vests and a lovely t-shirt...

Now my question would be..

"which top first to wear with my white jeans!?! ;)

Sharing my winning post over at the Share-in-Style at Mis Papelicos as this weeks theme is white..

A perfect SummerDay Is When The Sun Is Shining..

A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and the lawn mower is broken. ~James Dent

Thankfully it is a lovely day again today....

I am not liking the flash floods, thunder and lightning!!

No way of getting out on the bikes with the children yesterday!!

Saturday I did my first Park run 5k race in 5 months.

Back on the running yeah...

But my slowest time, noooo...

27 minutes 10...

On good thing is I've set a goal to improve on..

Will I ever get to 24 minutes?

It is deciding how you will go about achieving it and staying with that plan."

NYC...

One place I have always dreamt of going to is 'New York'.

All the best films are set in NY, don't ya think!?!

How amazing would it be to go!?!

Shopping, site-seeing and amazing food...

Man v Food style meals..

Not that I could eat to much but I would take a look at the sweet challenges.

Diners, huge pancakes and shopping for Jimmy Choo shoes!!

Dream ,dream , dream... Zzzzzzzzzz...

Nearest thing I will get to NYC at the minute is with this Primark T-shirt!!

Haha...

My husband always tells me 'he will take me one day'..

Maybe one year when the children are older ...

I may train up for the New York Marathon..

2 things at once to tick off the bucket list...

Back to earth with a bang and reality..

All the exercise I have been doing over the last few week have finally caught up with me.

So a nice easy week for me and back on it Monday...

Just before the children break up for summer on Wednesday...

My Go To Dress..

Morning everyone?

Wow it was a warm night last night.

Hard work trying to get to sleep.

You know when you wake up feeling like you have a hangover?

Without having an alcoholic drink though?

Well that is how I feel today!!

I read this morning a heat wave is coming...

Best get them old jeans I am planning to up cycle into shorts done!!

Does everybody has a favourite item of clothing they love and wear time and time again?

This is mine.

A maxi dress I picked up in the sale from ASDA around 6 ish years ago.

I love this dress as it always looks nice on, does not need ironing and you can even keep it screwed you as the more messy it is, the better it look.

Teamed up with a brown pair of leopard print shoes with a kitten heel, a scarf necklace and a Cath Kidston London print bag ...

A Visit To Holland Park...

You know when you see something beautiful, dresses up amazing in the most wonderful colours?

You just have to film it!!

No not me, haha

The stunning peacocks...

Last week me and my husband had a rare day 'us time' and 'no children' in London. Thanks to my oldest son coming home from uni and taking his youngest brother and sister to and from school.

First we went to find Holland Park.

A park my husband had read about how lovely it is and wanted to see for himself.

They were right!!

Stunning..

Lots of wonderful things to see.

The waterfall and Peacocks being my favourite...

Upcycled Trainers, Cut Off Jeans And A Day Exploring In Bakewell..

Don't you just love it when the weather is nice, children are off school and the husband has a rare Sunday off work?

It means 1 thing..

A day out exploring!!

Beats a day stuck inside or around the shops any time..

We love Bakewell and visit for the day often but this time we took to the peaks and walked for miles up the hills. The views were stunning, and we seen some cute sheep and lambs .

I love taking pictures of pretty flowers ..

It is great finding beauty in the wilderness..

Wearing my cut off jeans and comfy pimped up Reeboks

I am so unfit...

Half way up I was dying for a sit down with a cup of tea and a cake...

We even drank all the water we had at the start...

Next time I will remember to pack essentials...

Fizzy pop and sweets!!

The way down was the best..

We rushed to the nearest shop for pop.

"Do you want a carrier bag?", the man said.

Then looked at our faces,

No? "Know there is some thirsty faces!!"

A big bottle of pop and a trip to the chip shop soon restored out energy levels ...

Black And White Zebra Scarf Necklace : Perfect For A Day In Bakewell...

A few weeks ago I was sent some lovely scarf necklaces from the BHS Spring Summer 2014 collection.

I was asked to styled them up on our days out.

This week I am featured over on the BHS blog with the lovely Fritha from  Tiger Lilly Quinn, sharing our outfis.

First outfit for a lovely day out walking around Bakewell. Dressed smartly, yet fit for purpose I was ready for a day out in the Peak District.

I styled this black and white zebra print one with a red tunic, black and white shrug, black shiny leggings and some red lace up boots.

We love Bakewell, the fish and chips taste amazing.

Always to full to try a battered Mars bar though!!

Have you tried one?

They sound so yummy..

We always sit by the river for lunch.

Such a lovely peaceful spot even on busy days...

Something so relaxing about having a nice walk around the river...

A cake from the Bakewell pudding shops are also a must!!

Kaliko Dress Review

Last week I was introduced to Kaliko, a website I had never visited before. The website owned by Jacques Vert Group is a collection of Elegant British Brands.

They say~

"We are passionate about confidently dressing the mature woman in the highest quality products that are proudly designed in Britain".

I was excited to be asked if I would like to try something from their website to wear for a special occasion.

As we often go to London for weekends away, I wanted to pick a elegant dress that is comfortable to wear when travelling down by train.

A dress that is stylish that does not crease up when travelling, figure flattering and most of all feels and looks great.

When it arrived I was pleased to find the dress, ticked all the boxes. Lovely.

Sizing~

Having been away, eating far to much over the last few weeks, with no exercise, I was worried about picking the right size. I ordered a size 10 but noticed my usual clothes getting a little tight. I was hoping it would fit me!!

No worries there. The next size up would have been far to big. The sizes are very generous. Plenty of room to move around and fits lovely. I would say it is a roomy Size 10.

Style~

This A-lined dress has the feel and style of that classic look I love. You can immediately tell that it is made with high quality fabric, with a lovely design around the waist. It feel great to wear and has a very flattering cut and line. A real quality garment. Black, with brightly coloured flowers on. It has a centre back zip and elegant short sleeves.

Perfect location?

Outfit~
