Happy Sunday...

Making the most of the lazy summer holidays and looking forward to getting back into a routine again.

I can not remember the last time I went to the gym!!

With a week and half left of the holidays I think the children are secretly looking forward to school!?!

My youngest son goes off to big school!

Eek, when did he grow up!?!

Do you ever stop worrying about them!?!

After his 2 day school visit before the summer, left him going to hospital with a badly cut knee after jumping a fence.

My oldest son is now recovering well from the 2nd round of penicillin for tonsillitis after 3 weeks of summer in bed resting and not being able to eat with pain.

So lots of fun plans for the last week of the holidays~

Which involves eatting, days out and our 18th wedding Anniversary coming up in 6 days.

I am so looking forward to be going to see British Athletics today. Big thanks to Sainsbury's. We all love athletics in our house and so excited to be invited to the Birmingham Grand Prix. Watch this space later for some cool athletic news, pictures and a surprise meet and greet they have planned for me :)

Have a great week ahead everyone...

What are your plans for the last week off before school starts again?

This weeks Share-in-Style ( #bloggersharingstyle ) theme over at Mis Papelicos blog hop this week is : Summer.

Today I am sharing my favourite items I have been wearing time and time again this summer holidays. I love my dresses but my ripped jeans have to be the most worn item on days in and travelling days out. Sitting on buses, trains and in the car on days out my fitted boyfriend jeans have seen the most wear. Also lots of walking my Converse have been perfect for comfort and looking stylish.

Going for a casual laid back look, with all my hair tied back today I am sharing some pictures from a lazy day out in Bakewell. So many amazing flowers to see and a lovely walk around the town and up to the Church on the hill.

What I Wore And A weigh In!!

Morning...

Hope you are all well and enjoying the summer holidays?

We have been busy filling our day with fun, exercise, laughter and eating lots of yummy food when out and about. which reminds me, I have my monthly fitness test at the gym this morning!!

I wonder if the old body fat has come down? or if the chips and doughnuts on days out at the seaside over the last few weeks has made it go back up? Why I am feeling so nervous?

It is only a fit test!

Maybe because I want to improve? and get my body fat down a little, to help with my running. I find it so hard to be motivated for exercise when the children are off school though!

Do you? 1 step forward, then 1 back.

Oh well, here goes! Wish me luck!!

Jeans ~ Abercrombie and Fitch
Shoes ~ Converse

Don't you just hate bedding new shoes in?

Helene Berman Classic Pea Coat From Gray And Osbourn Review...

A few weeks ago I was asked by Gray & Osbourn if I would like to review something from their Autumn/Winter collection. I was happy to be sent a sneak preview email of what will be arriving in their on-line boutique next season. The collection looks great and this lovely Helene Berman classic pea coat caught my eye straight away.

Every Autumn I like to treat myself to a new coat, something that is going to last the distance. Being worn each day throughout the Winter. It has to be good quality, a great style and a colour that will go with almost everything. I love this Navy coat, I think the colour is very versatile and goes with my outfits that I will wear this Autumn and Winter.

I pictured this coat looking very stylish with fitted jeans and long boots. Perfect for looking casual and stylish for the school run and days out shopping. Also great for wearing over dresses for nights out. I was right, it does look great with everything.

About the Helene Berman classic pea coat from Gray & Osbourn
  • This iconic, military-inspired coat comes in a luscious blend of rich wool and sumptuous cashmere for a refined appearance and wonderfully soft touch.
  • Authentic double-breasted front, crested silver-tone buttons, front pockets, long sleeves with buttoned tab trims and buttoned half back belt.
  • Dry clean.
  • 68% Wool, 17% Cashmere, 15% Polyamide.
  • Fully lined: Acetate.
  • Product available in sizes: 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20.
  • Colour ~ Navy
  • Price £199.00

A perfect addition with jeans for the school runs and dresses for shopping and nights out.

What I think about the Classic Pea Coat

I really like this coat, Navy is strongly becoming my new favourite Autumn colour. The coat feels so stylish and very high quality.

I am a size 10 and was advised that this style can be slightly slim in fit, and I was recommended to go a size bigger. I would say not to go a size bigger and choose your true size in this coat. This size 12 feels so big, definitely a full bodied 12. I am sure the size 10 would have been a perfect fit? (not sure if you can tell from the picture with the buttoned up front? but it sticks out at the back).

No worries though, it will come in handy for the winter when lots of jumpers are required. As it is too big I prefer it open for a classy look.

About this post-

I got sent this coat for review.

All thoughts are my own honest opinion and I did not get paid for this post ...

Mastershoe-myshu Sandal Review...

Children have broken up from school, for the holidays. A whole 6 weeks of summer fun ahead! We are now busy planning days out, trips to the beach and a holiday at the seaside. Come September I will be worn out.

With all the walking that I will be doing, my feet will need plenty of pampering to keep up with the rascals. One thing I love to wear in the summer holidays weather permitting are sandals.

They have to be ~ flat, COMFY, rub free and look good, all rolled into one.

With this in mind I was excited to be sent some new leather, flat sandals to try out.

How sweet does the flowers look?

A few weeks ago I was introduced to a brand I had not heard of before Mastershoe-myshu who asked me if I would like to review a pair of their Oxygen sandals. After taking a look at the sandals. flat, comfy, sweet design all came to mind.

  • UK 7 - Euro 40 - US 9.5
  • UK 8 - Euro 41 - US 10.
Price
  • £34.99

When I put the sandals on I noticed they felt a little strange at first. Maybe the ridge around the sides felt a little different? After about 10 minutes of wearing them around the house, they started to fell slightly different. Possibly starting to mould to the shape of my feet? They were comfy from the outset.

During the next few days I wore them on walks to the shops, around the house etc Essentially using them as an every day slipper in the house. After my initial feelings that they were an unusual fit, I need not have worried as they have slowly adapted to my foot shape, becoming like a second skin.

Being leather they have not rubbed or cut my feet (which is great as new sandals usually do).
I have worn them enough now to know they are a great all-round sandal possibly the best I have ever owned. Would just to love to try them on a beach any beach. If my hubby reads this please take me on holiday soon.!

I think these sandals are perfect for the summer they are comfy having very good support. I found the sizing to be accurate, no need to go slightly under or over your regular size.

Topping them off they are my favourite colour too.

About this post-

I got to choose a pair of sandals the point of this review. All thoughts are my own honest opinion and I did not get paid for this post ...

What Are The Best Colour And Style Tops To Go With The Classic White Jeans?

A few weeks ago over on twitter F & F (Clothing At Tesco) had a twitter party where they was giving away
some gift vouchers to spend on new clothes. They were asking their followers to tweet using the hastag #SummerSOS and ask them your summer dilemma fashion question. They tweeted back an answer to help you out with your fashion question and also entered you into the draw for a prize.

Here is what they tweeted...

F&F ‏@FandFclothing"Watch our video with fashion expert @AngelaButtolph. We'll be solving your style dilemmas live on Tuesday. #SummerSOS"

I have a few pair of white trousers and never ever wear them. Thing is with light trousers is I am never sure of what to wear with them. So my question was...

"What are the best colour/style top to go with the classic white jeans? I have 2 pair never wore @FandFclothing @AngelaButtolph #SummerSOS"

I got this very helpful reply ..

Hi @Clairejustineo. Update classic white jeans with SS14's neon shades. Shop #SummerSOS: here F&F and my personalised Vine message.

Later I received a message to say I had won a voucher to pick something on-line from there website. Yeah.. So here is all the tops I brought to go with my white jeans. Most of them were in the sale too so I got plenty of fun shirts, vests and a lovely t-shirt...

Now my question would be..

"which top first to wear with my white jeans!?! ;)

Sharing my winning post over at the Share-in-Style at Mis Papelicos as this weeks theme is white..

A perfect SummerDay Is When The Sun Is Shining..

A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and the lawn mower is broken. ~James Dent

Thankfully it is a lovely day again today....

I am not liking the flash floods, thunder and lightning!!

No way of getting out on the bikes with the children yesterday!!

Saturday I did my first Park run 5k race in 5 months.

Back on the running yeah...

But my slowest time, noooo...

27 minutes 10...

On good thing is I've set a goal to improve on..

Will I ever get to 24 minutes?

All the best films are set in NY, don't ya think!?!

How amazing would it be to go!?!

Shopping, site-seeing and amazing food...

Man v Food style meals..

Not that I could eat to much but I would take a look at the sweet challenges.

Diners, huge pancakes and shopping for Jimmy Choo shoes!!

Dream ,dream , dream... Zzzzzzzzzz...

Nearest thing I will get to NYC at the minute is with this Primark T-shirt!!

Haha...

My husband always tells me 'he will take me one day'..

Maybe one year when the children are older ...

I may train up for the New York Marathon..

2 things at once to tick off the bucket list...

Back to earth with a bang and reality..

All the exercise I have been doing over the last few week have finally caught up with me.

So a nice easy week for me and back on it Monday...
