I along with my husband and one of my sons who are also runners have been following the lead up to the launch of the new adidas boost trainer. It was only last week my husband brought home a Metro paper with the boost on the back page and said to me this is what you need for your London Marathon race.
Trying to do more outfit posts again as I've not manged any for a while and so got out of doing them. This week we have had loads of snow so I'm trying to get away from throwing my jogging pant on. With going to the gym more since the children are back at school its hard work getting away from the gym wear. It's so much warmer wearing jogging pants and sweat shirts especially when its cold icy and snowing outside!!
Last day of the Ben And Jerry's #captureeuphoria challenge and we have had so much fun in the snow. After educating my kids never to make snowballs or snow angels in yellow snow we have lots of fun pictures to share. For me this one is priceless my 2 youngest having lots of fun sledging !! The smiles on there faces says it all....
Today's #captureeuphoria picture is fresh snow, don't you just love to be the first one to walk through snow no one else has stood on? with plenty more heading this way I'm sure we will get fed up of it very soon. I'm hoping the snow don't get to deep so I can still get out to run and hopefully this time next week it has disappeared for another year!!
Let it snow, let it snow, Let it snow !!! Well we don't have a choice in the matter, now the snow has returned. Had some shopping delivered by our local supermarket so we have not got to use the car :) In bad weather my husband always uses the train to get to work....
Today's fun picture for the Capture Euphoria with Ben & Jerry’s bloggers challenge is a picture of me after my run this morning. -6 degrees when I set off for to run with a friend and when I arrive home my hair and eyelashes were frozen. Only manged 6 miles with how cold it was, then later managed another 4 hope this counts for my mid week long run for Marathon training!!
Just made these quick, easy, sweet and tasty flapjack after my run in the snow today. Hard work running in the snow now the pavements have turned to ice, so off into the parks where it was deep snow for most of my run today...
Still smoothie-ing my way through the year, making healthier and not so healthy smoothies. Also #Runstreak-ing my way through the year ( running everyday ) for as longs as I can.
Every year on New Years Day me my husband and 2 sons all made a little fun challenge and see who can run everyday the longest as of yet my husband stopped due to being really ill, my 2nd youngest had a day off, so its in between me and my oldest son (18) now!! bring it on as I'm still in the challenge and feeling fresh!! ha ha.
Today I'm sharing a banana and avocado smoothie, as I love avocados and banana are so good for you and filling.
Yesterday I managed to run 5 miles and today I got a just over 6 miles run in.
1 Large banana
1 Small avocado
1 Medium pear
1 tbsp Nutella
120 ml Semi skimmed milk
Handful of ice cubes
Peel the pear and remove the pips, peel banana, take the stone out the avocado and peel.
Chop all the fruit into chunks and place in a smoothie maker.
Hard work on the tired legs trying to run everyday, but still managing to do my #runstreak.
Nearly had to stop my challenge on Tuesday as I had planned to run with friends at the running club that night, I had a shock when I arrived home from school ( long story short I found my husband very poorly on the floor with a bad case of vertigo ) 1 hour after phoning the NHS direct help line and the doctors I had to run to pick up a prescription up for some strong medicine.
Yesterday I mention I was going to make a sweet smoothie with a Kit Kat inside.
We still have a few which we brought over Christmas and I've had my eye on one all week before they disappear. I made this tasty milkshake, it was just what I needed after a long 12 miles run in the morning...
