Red Magazine 15th Birthday Edition, My Feature And Runstreak Day 66!!...

Yeh I've been featured in this months edition of Red Magazine (April)  in an article called "What's your health score?" .

Me on the left of the picture described as " The sugar snacker" ( wonder where they get that idea from lol ). I am really please with the feature, interview and pictures although part of me thinks I look as though I'm trying to be the Prime Ministers  wife!! haha .

I went to London a few weeks back for the photo shoot and here is me wearing Jimmy Choo shoes and a next skirt, not sure where the top is from. It was great to hold the shoes for a moment as I've never ever tried a pair of Jimmy Choo on or even seen any before. Not sure I could walk in them for long though....

And here is a comment from my good blogging friend Judy ...

This week I manged my longest run ever, with the help of my friend. We ran for 19 miles and although I got stich half way around, was very very tired and had a bad headache all day, I was very pleased with my run.
I felt great the day after especially with spending 3 and a half hours on my feet.I thought I would suffer..
One of my recovery snack after my long run ( I did have a bit of sweet things first!! ) ...

adidas Boosts, London Marathon Training, Run Streak And British Heart Foundation...

I along with my husband and one of my sons who are also runners have been following the lead up to the launch of the new adidas boost trainer. It was only last week my husband brought home a Metro paper with the boost on the back page and said to me this is what you need for your London Marathon race.

A few day ago my son who is a big fan of all things running told me that adidas was giving away 15 pairs of the new trainer away and they have not even hit the shops yet. Being a runner I excitedly tweeted why I should win a pair of the trainers.

@adidasUK I need #boost to help me get through my first London Marathon. #allin

Just getting the children ready for the cinema I had received a tweet saying I had won a pair. Jumping for joy, I was really looking forward to them being delivered...

They are so light and comfortable I can't wait to wear them for my marathon!!

Update on training for London Marathon-

Last few days has been hard work, I really have been asking what I'm getting in to. Having no one to run with over the long miles is such hard work too. Yesterday I was so upset and felt like I did not want to carry on training for a marathon so much so, I was crying when out running and finished what was to be a long run at 3 miles. I tried to eat some vegetables and fruit, iron, vitamins and water, cut down on the sugar and have an early night. To my surprise I ran 10 today so feeling much better ....

  • Wednesday ran 2 miles
  • Thursday just over 1 mile
  • Friday 6 miles
  • Saturday 3 miles
  • Sunday 1 mile
  • Monday 3 miles
  • Tuesday 10 miles

Serves 4 mugs 6 cups

Ingredients

  • 2 Teabags
  • 2 Lemons
  • 2 Pints of Boiling water

Method

  1. Pre heat the teapot with boiling water.
  2. Wash and slice 2 lemons, discard the ends and take the pips out.
  3. Empty out the water that's been keeping the tea pot warm.
  4. Place the tea bags and lemon in the pot and add 2 pints of boiling water.
  5. Leave to stand for 10 minutes.
  6. Stir and serve.

Healthier tea option with no milk and the taste of lemon = no biscuits,,, good result?

What I Wore : Snow Week!!....

Trying to do more outfit posts again as I've not manged any for a while and so got out of doing them. This week we have had loads of snow so I'm trying to get away from throwing my jogging pant on. With going to the gym more since the children are back at school its hard work getting away from the gym wear. It's so much warmer wearing jogging pants and sweat shirts especially when its cold icy and snowing outside!!

I love this Jacket I got a few months ago from Primark it looks so stylish, really good quality and keeps you toasty and warm. First time I've brought a navy coat and it goes with more thing than I first expected ...

Jacket-Primark
T-shirt - Primark few years ago
Jeans- Matalan
Boots - Barratts

One thing that as been keeping me warm at night before bed time is my onsie. I have gave a few people a laugh and a few people a frown posting my picture in  the Rock up in red for the British Heart Foundation competition. So though I would share my picture here, for the fun and hopefully make you all laugh  :)

Onesie- Primark

Meanwhile there has been lots of snow here, so snow boots a must...

 Lots of sledging...

And lots of snowballing...

Yesterday was hard work finding time for exercise as the children had a snow day off school. I manage a run to the gym and back 3 miles in the morning, half hour spinning class and a 3 miles run on the treadmill in the evening. Today they were all back to school so I did a hours spinning and a 3 miles run on the treadmill, hoping to snow don't hang around to long as I've got a marathon to train up for...

The Ben & Jerry’s Capture Euphoria Challenge Day 7 And #Runstreak Day 20 !!

Last day of the Ben And Jerry's #captureeuphoria challenge and we have had so much fun in the snow. After educating my kids never to make snowballs or snow angels in yellow snow we have lots of fun pictures to share. For me this one is priceless my 2 youngest having lots of fun sledging !! The smiles on there faces says it all....

To join in some fun and try to win a feature in, Ben & Jerry’s advertising in your neighbourhood upload your Instagram pictures. Today's long run planned didn't work out as well as I would have like. The snow is hard to run in and the lay in didn't help. Not having time for a drink or breakfast off I trotted for my long run. 1 mile to the gym 6 miles on the treadmill (was hard work with no music counting ever second). Then a 2 miles run home!! Leaving me having to finish at 9 miles as I was hungry and thirsty...

The Ben & Jerry’s Capture Euphoria Challenge Day 6 ...

Today's #captureeuphoria picture is fresh snow, don't you just love to be the first one to walk through snow no one else has stood on? with plenty more heading this way I'm sure we will get fed up of it very soon. I'm hoping the snow don't get to deep so I can still get out to run and hopefully this time next week it has disappeared for another year!!

Today's 3 miles run was hard work, it was getting deep snow (for us) outside so a short slow run for me,plenty of time to recovery for tomorrows long run..

This week I'm taking part in a challenge with Ben And Jerry's and posting a picture a day to   #captureeuphoria. After I did a 3 miles round trip walk/ run to the gym, a 5 miles run on the treadmill and a hours body combat class I was absolutely tired out. waiting for me was this cake I had personalised for Valentines day. I was so tempted to try it out, managed to resist till everyone is home to try a piece. The great thing is we don't have to wait till Valentines day to try it, as its one I've kindly been sent to review. Watching the clock tick down now until everyone is home ...

The Ben & Jerry’s Capture Euphoria Challenge: Day Four : Runstreak Day 17...

Let it snow, let it snow, Let it snow !!! Well we don't have a choice in the matter, now the snow has returned. Had some shopping delivered by our local supermarket so we have not got to use the car :) In bad weather my husband always uses the train to get to work....

Tonight I made some hot cocoa covered it with whipped cream and marshmallows then watched the snow from inside where it is nice and warm. Today I didn't brave running in the snow now its turned to ice (its like a ice rink outside now). Took forever trying to walk to school in it so I decided to go to the gym and use the treadmill.

I am not usually a treadmill fan as I usually get so bored out my head with it, today I had no choice and I surprised myself how much I liked it. So much so I ran 6 miles on it!!

The Ben & Jerry’s Capture Euphoria Challenge: Day Three : Runstreak Day 16...

Today's fun picture for the Capture Euphoria with Ben & Jerry’s bloggers challenge is a picture of me after my run this morning. -6 degrees when I set off for to run with a friend and when I arrive home my hair and eyelashes were frozen. Only manged 6 miles with how cold it was, then later managed another 4 hope this counts for my mid week long run for Marathon training!!

So 2 runs to clock up into my #runstreak today and 10 miles even in snow makes a very happy me, not to mention 104 miles ran this month already in 16 days, when in December I manged 98 for the whole month.
