Hello friends. Happy Sunday. So how are you today? We have been busy, busy here, how about you?

My Silent or not-so-silent Sunday photo was taken in Nottingham last week.

Heron Standing Tall And Proud.

In the tranquil settings of Nottingham Canal, there stood a heron, elegant and tall, its long neck gracefully arching towards the other side of the water.

It was a sight to be seen. This heron, stood there tall and proud, not moving at all. The first thing I thought was, is it real?

We walked down the canal, then back 20 minutes later. Still not moving at all.

When I got home my live photos showed the heron moving his beak once in a while to prove he was real.

As the heron patiently waits, so too must we learn the art of patience in our journey– Unknown.

This time it was not real!

Like the heron’s flight, let your dreams take wing and reach for the limitless sky- Unknown.

This sculpture of a heron was created by recycling waste from Raleigh cycles and trash gathered from the canal. How cool!

I love to see upcycling projects.

The artwork completes the transformation of a “neglected” urban area in Nottingham’s centre beside the canal.

In the dance of life, be as graceful as the heron, moving with effortless elegance- Unknown.

The bike pieces came from Raleigh’s Eastwood manufacturing skips, while other junk, such a shopping trolley, beer barrel hoops and a piece of an old lawnmower, were pulled out of canals.

Last weekend we spent the night in Brighton as my husband had never visited before.

We timed it right as the weather was beautiful and warm. Just like being abroad. Not like earlier in the week when we went to Blackpool and it was so cold and rainy!!
