Diet & Fitness Mondays

After a few hard week’s training I had a nice easy week this week as I’ve built my mileage back up and done a few races over the last two weeks. The thing is now after having a few easy day’s and eating what I like don’t want to run again.

This is the message I had on Dailymile when having a few days off..

“When your sleeping : I will beat you!!”

I’ll Beat You 🙂

While you’re resting, I’m stacking up miles on you.

Lol this is true, Isn’t it!?

So  so true…..

This makes me laugh and want to train again 🙂

Thanks!!

I love running and motivation quotes. Here is a few ….

“What matters is not necessarily the size of the dog in the fight – it’s the size of the fight in the dog.”

– Dwight D. Eisenhower

Ask yourself: ‘Can I give more?’. The answer is usually: ‘Yes’.”

-Paul Tergat, Kenyan professional marathoner

“To get to the finish line, you’ll have to try lots of different paths.”

– Amby Burfoot

Many people shy away from hills. They make it easy on themselves, but that limits their improvement. The more you repeat something, the stronger you get.”

– Joe Catalano

“Methinks that the moment my legs began to move, my thoughts began to flow.”

– Henry David Thoreau

“Play not only keeps us young but also maintains our perspective about the relative seriousness of things. Running is play, for even if we try hard to do well at it, it is a relief from everyday cares.”

– Jim Fixx

“It is better, I think, to begin easily and get your running to be smooth and relaxed and then to go faster and faster.”

– Henry Rono

And my favourite one:

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a lion or gazelle – when the sun comes up, you’d better be running.”

This week the kids are off school so i shall be blowing the cobwebs of some exercise dvds and trying dance central out on the Xbox ….
