On Friday House of Fraser asked me if I would like to pick out and style one of their Prom Dresses for a Christmas party.
At this time of year, you would usually expect to pay full price for everything. How many times do you see toys you have bought the kids for Christmas loads cheaper in the New Year? The same with clothes, you normally never see Christmas party wear reduced in price. Not until January at the earliest. You can imagine how pleased I was to find this Jolie Moi 50’s inspired polka dot dress at half price a week before Christmas then! Bonus!!
A lovely excuse to get dressed up for a photo. Now my eldest boys are back from Uni for babysitting duties. Just need the Hubby to take me out, to give the dress a proper spin.

I was so excited to receive my parcel first thing Monday morning. I was looking forward to seeing if it looked as nice as the picture! I gasped as I opened it, it is so pretty. Not only is it a quality dress, with a pretty lining, so good infact, you could almost wear it inside out! It has a navy mesh underneath so it flairs out. I picked a size 10 and it fits like a dream.
I love polka dots outfits and have owned many over the years. I also love floral prints, but I have never owned a dress with both styles in one dress. Perfect.. This has to be my favourite polka dot dress…Ever!! It feels so stylish and expensive on. The look on my husbands’s face said it all when he walked in from work!!
I blame Kim Wilde for my obsession with polka dots. Ever since she wore that amazing dress on the Rocking around the Christmas tree video with Mel smith at Christmas in 1987. They also do this in white and I am really tempted to buy that one. Or get the Hubby too!!
My dress is so beautiful. I styled it up with my fabulous floral Irregular Choice shoes. It would also look great with plain coloured shoes too.
About this post:
I got to pick a dress of my choice from House Of Fraser to review. I was not paid for this post and all thoughts are my own honest option.
