I love to up-cycle old things and making them into some new and usable.
Glass jars are among my favourite things to up-cycle along with clothes and shoes!
The great thing with glass jars and bottles is that you can always pick up something a little different and they make the best things to upcycle.
Upcycling is good fun and my Daughter is always interested in learning how to make some old into something new and different. Also, the possibilities are endless, you just need an idea to start with.
Here are 5 ideas on how you can re-use those old jars to save throwing them away:
5 Ways To Upcycle Old Jars:
1.) Drinking Glasses:
Wash out and make cool drinks in them. Fresh fruit, water and lots of ice cubes are such a sweet idea. Smoothies also look great in old jars.
2.) Flowers jars:
Keep them under the sink for an unexpected delivery of flowers or some you have picked out of your garden. Sometimes you can never have enough flowers vases.
3.) Food Storage Jars:
Wash out and dry properly then add, dried fruit, tea, coffee, sweets or any other kind of foods like this in them. They are great for storing food like these in them.
4.) Jams And Marmalades:
Make some homemade jam or marmalade.
My grandma always had a stash of glass jars for making jams with.
5.) Bits And Bob Holders:
Store your buttons and sewing bits in them. My mum is a dressmaker and has hundreds of buttons in jars like this.
