How is your weekend going so far?
After a weeks break from exercise and healthy eating whilst away on holiday, it is good to be back into eating more healthy again.
Apricot, Strawberries And Kale Smoothie anyone?
All week I have been eating fried breakfasts, pastries, 2 cakes after my dinner and ice cream!
Not counting the snacks, hot chocolate drinks and wine at night time.
Butlins food is so yummy and tasty.
It is very easy to be greedy when it is self-service!!
My downfall is cakes.
They are so hard to resist!
I did a little run this morning.
Wow, I feel so unfit again.
I only manage 2 miles and that felt tough.
I am glad my husband brought us some fresh strawberries yesterday.
I had some with my Weetabix for breakfast!
For my lunch, I made this nice and healthy apricot, strawberries and kale smoothie.
It tastes so sweet and yummy.
I was in a rush to drink mine but I bet it tastes lovely over ice too.
How To Make A Apricot, Strawberries And Kale Smoothie:
- 2 Apricots
- 100g Strawberries
- Handful Kale
- 100ml Apple juice
How To Make:
- Wash, chop and take the stones out of the apricots. Wash strawberries, take stalks off, wash a handful of kale.
- Add all fruit and veg to a smoothie bottle or blender and add apple juice.
- Whiz until all blended together.
- Serve straight away.
Not sure how healthy I am going to be later as my oldest son is coming home for a nice birthday Sunday dinner.
It will be lovely to have both my sons home from Uni and a nice family meal together again.
