Love Locks In Bakewell

We all love to visit Bakewell in the Derbyshire Dales district of Derbyshire, England. it is such a lovely town.

We like to walk around the shops then take off into the peaks for a spot of climbing.

Have you heard of Bakewell or visited here before?

If you are not from the UK you may have heard of Bakewell as it is well known for its unique and delicious Bakewell Puddings.

They are delicious.

Me and my son once won a Bakewell pudding when we did a race here.

How lovely it was. Winning cake for racing.

Lots of people love Bakewell too and lock all their love up here.

I think the love lock that keeps popping up all over on bridges are so sweet. Couples locking their love together.

Sometimes I wonder what the stories are behind the locks? Is the couple who put the love locks here still together? Still in love? Still happy? Married, engaged, have children or parted ways.

When we first went to Bakewell we started to notice a few locks appear now the bridge is getting so full.

So much love going around!!

I wonder where people will put the locks when the bridge is full?

Do you like to see the love locks?

Have you ever locked your love high on a bridge like this anywhere in the world?

The time now to share some of your photos, outfits and recipes or anything else you would like from this week:

Have you been snapping away with your camera this week?

Or do you have an old post with photos in it to share with us today?

Love locks are always lovely to see and it'd be lovely to know all the couples and love stories behind them. My other half and I left a love lock on a bridge in Dublin, there were loads of them on the bridge, but the council has since removed them all. Such a shame 🙁

I always enjoy seeing the locks pop up on bridges where I don't expect them. Very sweet!

We added ours last Friday to bakewell bridge. We got married on Oct 23rd so had that engraved on our lock as we were on our mini moon! Would love to go back with my husband in a few years and find it!
