How is your Summer going so far? Unbelievably busy here! I am also trying to de-clutter the house, garden, garage and shed too. All with the kids off school! You have to make a mess to tidy up, right!?

So much going on lately. Not to mention I have also planned to paint the walls and build up some new wardrobes in my Son’s room.

Afternoon Tea Week | Alice In Wonderland Inspired. Did you know it is Afternoon Tea Week? I love afternoon tea, also Alice In Wonderland, so today I thought I would combined the too.

Step into the enchanting world of Wonderland with our Alice in Wonderland-inspired afternoon tea post.

Firstly, Indulge in Cheshire Cat finger sandwiches, with layers of creamy cheese, crisp cucumber, and delicate smoked salmon, all nestled between slices of whimsically shaped bread. Or how about trying egg mayo ones?

Secondly, Create Teacup Shaped Cupcakes, for a fun a whimsical idea.

Thirdly, delight your taste buds with a Queen of Hearts strawberry tarts, each one adorned with a heart shape , on top a bed.

Fourthly, White Rabbit’s Pocket-Watch Macarons.

Fifth, Some fun mushrooms to eat. And don’t forget to sip on Alice’s “Drink Me” potion, a refreshing blueberry lemonade concoction that beckons you to take a sip and join in the adventure.

An Alice in Wonderland-themed afternoon tea party is a whimsical and delightful idea! Here are some more recipe ideas inspired by the characters and elements of the classic tale.

Cheshire Cat Inspired Recipes:

Firstly, Cheshire Cat Finger Sandwiches. Use a cat-shaped cookie cutter to cut out the bread.

White bread, cream cheese, thinly sliced cucumber, smoked salmon or ham.

Also, Perfect Egg Mayonnaise And Watercress Sandwiches. What better way to start the proceedings than with a classic egg mayonnaise sandwich given added piquancy by fresh peppery watercress?

Thirdly, Queen of Hearts’ Tarts. The Queen of Hearts famously orders tarts to be made, but they are stolen by the Knave of Hearts, leading to a trial. Si how about some Queen Of Hearts Jam Tarts?

Can you also remember the nursery rhyme? “The Queen of Hearts”, where the Queen Of Hearts is said to have ordered the making of some tarts.

Fourthly, White Rabbit’s Pocket-Watch Macarons.

BerryWorld Strawberry and Almond. Strawberry and almond ones are from BerryWorld – wonderful for afternoon tea. Do you want to make some tasty macarons then?

For Mother’s Day or Valentine’s Day, these delectable mini cakes are the ideal special treat.

The ingredients for a macaron, also known as a French macaron, are egg white, icing sugar, granulated sugar, almond flour, and food colouring.

So how do you feel about this recipe? Do you want to create some as well? Because I could easily get one right now, haha!! BerryWorld Strawberry and Almond.

Pipe or spread white royal icing onto the flat side of half of the macaron shells to resemble a pocket watch face. Sandwich with another macaron shell.

Use edible gold dust or gold leaf to create the hands of the watch. How fun?
