How To Make A Tropical Mango, California Walnut and Turmeric Smoothie Bowl:

This exotic creation blends the luscious sweetness of ripe mangoes with the creamy texture of California walnuts, resulting in a tropical symphony of flavours and textures.

The addition of turmeric adds a golden hue and a subtle earthy note, while also providing anti-inflammatory benefits.

As you spoon into this delightful smoothie bowl, the crunchy texture of chopped walnuts offers a delightful contrast to the velvety smoothness of the mango base.

Topped with slices of fresh tropical fruits, shredded coconut, and an extra sprinkle of walnuts, this bowl not only satisfies the palate but also nourishes the body with a burst of vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats.

Indulging in this Tropical Mango, California Walnut, and Turmeric Smoothie Bowl is not just a culinary experience; it’s a celebration of health, flavour, and the vibrant spirit of tropical goodness.

Serving: 1 person

Ingredients:

  • Flesh from half a mango (reserving a few slices to garnish)
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • Half a banana 
  • 200ml coconut milk 
  • Squeeze of lime juice (plus a little zest to garnish)
  • 8 California walnut halves
  • A handful of raspberries and blueberries 
  • 1 passion fruit 
  • 1 tbsp of coconut flakes

Preparation:

1.) Place the mango, turmeric, banana and coconut milk into a blender and blitz until smooth. Add lime juice to taste and blend again until combined.

2.) Pour the smoothie into a bowl and garnish with the reserved mango, berries, walnuts, passion fruit, lime zest and coconut flakes.

Last but not least serve and enjoy!

Incorporating California Walnuts into meals is a simple, tasty and convenient way to add important nutrients to your diet.  

A 30g portion, approximately 11 walnuts, are high in Omega-3 fatty acids (ALA). Also important for heart health and may help reduce the risk of heart disease (1).  30g’s also offer 5.2g of protein and 1.8g of fibre (2).
