Breast cancer, is not something I had ever wanted to think about in-depth before. It is a scary though, so I try not to think about it.
But then sometimes life happens and it makes you stop in your tracks and you have to think about it. Did you also know, about 1 in 8 women are diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime?
Every 10 minutes in the UK one woman is diagnosed with breast cancer and one man is diagnosed every day. Around 55,000 women and 370 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK. How scary is this!?

It also has me thinking that; This month I want to help raise awareness of breast cancer on my blog and social media.
I am turning my blog pink to help raise raise awareness and hope people who get the chance to go for tests, go and if you are worried about anything go and get it checked out.
Also I would like to mention the people who everyday do amazing work in research and the medical industry. They are doing a fantastic job find cancer early and are saving peoples lives.
Did you know you could have breast cancer and not even know? Not symptoms? This is scary too. If something does not feel right go and seek a doctors help. Or if you get invited to a mammogram go and get yourself checked.
Also try and keep your appointment and do not cancel if you think you are too busy. You are never to busy to have your health checked.

Breast Cancer Now. This is a charity my eldest Son volunteered for whilst at Unniversity.
He ran the Prague marathon in 2015 and cycled from London to Paris in raising over £2,300 for Breast Cancer Now. I am so proud of the time and effort he put into this

Love the raincoat in pink. It is so important for regualr checkups. I get a 3d imaging mammo as mine are fibrotic and they can detect it easier. Congrats to your son for all his efforts!

Breast cancer is scary and I am so glad you are raising awareness about it. It affects all of us and like you said, the scariest is not having any symptoms but still have it. Claire, I love it! I love your pink blog! I have my mammogram scheduled for next week and I am thinking of having the lab techs take some pictures of the process for me so I can write a post. It is probably a good idea for us all to keep spreading the awareness! Thanks for doing your part.
