40 Years Cousins Reunion In Brighton. On Monday I mentioned I was away for the weekend with my cousins. After 40 years since we last we all together…we all meet again…

How fabulous it was!! Photo below was around 40 years ago and how we all look now!!

Also, What A Weekend!

Wow what a weekend. Meeting up with my cousins after 40 years apart was amazing. There was no awkwardness. No silent. Also, no feelings that we did not know each other. Just lots of fun and plenty of laughter. Like we had been the best of friends all our lives.

40 Years Cousins Reunion In Brighton. I have seen one of my cousins a few times over the last 40 years as she lives close by. One of my cousins lives in France and one lives a few hours drive away but I have only seen them once for a short time at my Grandmas funeral.

When we were growing we all loved spending time together. We all have fond memories of each other when we were kids but then all of a sudden we never seen each other for one reason or another. Family’s move around the world, sometimes they fall out and life gets in the way.

Then before you know it 40 years has passed by and the children are adults with just the great memories of what they remember of each other to be like.

Facebook is amazing for reconnecting you with old friends and keeping in touch with family. You feel like you know them even when you don’t. I think this is how we all got back in touch.

A few months ago one of my cousins set up a family Whats-app group and asked us all if we would like to meet up again. We are all busy with our lives but managed to work out a weekend when we were all free and able to have a few fun days away.

Brighton was perfect location as one cousin was flying in from France so it was only a 30 minute train ride away from the airport.

40 Years Cousins Reunion In Brighton. We even made a new friend as my cousin who lives in France ready had a few friends in Brighton and one joined us for the evening. Love this mad photo.

I think we all had a great time and we are already thinking of where to go next year. Maybe one, two or three of our other cousins might join us too?

3 Reason Why Mums Gone To Brighton:

1.) To Meet Up With 3 Of My Cousins I’ve Not Spent Time With Since We were Younger: Maybe 35 Years Ago Now:

Turns out it was 40 years and we had such a great time.

2.) To Take Lots Of Fabulous Photos:

I go so many amazing photos to go through. They will keep me writing blog posts for weeks to come!

3.) To Hopefully Be Missed At Home!?:

I think I might have been!! My Daughter missed me and hugged me so much. I got a fist bump from my youngest Son and a smile. I also think my Husband missed me too as he gave me that loving smile and has been really nice to me!! 😉
