Today I have a few recipes to share using Barleycup:

Firstly, Barleycup with Orange and Mascarpone:

Ingredients:

2 tables mascarpone cheese

2 teaspoons honey

½ teaspoon cardamom

½ teaspoon ginger

150ml milk

2 teaspoons Barleycup

Orange Peel

Method:

  1. Thoroughly mix the mascarpone with honey in a bowl then stir in the ground cardamom and ginger.
  2. Boil milk then pour over the Barleycup and allow to cool a little before whisking in the cream cheese mixture.
  3. Finish with orange peel to serve.

Secondly, Barleycup with Coconut Milk:

Ingredients:

100ml water

330ml coconut milk

4 teaspoons honey

4 pieces of green cardamom pods

2 cinnamon sticks

6 teaspoons Barleycup

Method:

  1. Pour the water and milk into a pan, add honey and spices.
  2. Boil it all until ¼ of the liquid has evaporated.
  3. Stir in the Barleycup, mix well and serve.

Thirdly, Barleycup With Mango:

Ingredients:

50ml soy milk

2 teaspoons Barleycup

½ fresh mango, peeled and dices into fine pieces

1 banana

200ml natural yoghurt

Method:

  1. Pour hot soy milk over the Barleycup then leave to cool.
  2. Place the mango and banana into a blender and add the yoghurt and whiz until smooth.
  3. Add the cooled Barleycup and whiz again, serve immediately.

Fourthly, Creamy Barleycup with Coconut Oil:

Ingredients:

200ml boiling water

2 teaspoons Barleycup

1 teaspoon coconut oil

1 teaspoon ground cardamom

50ml almond milk

3 teaspoons honey

Method:

  1. Pour the boiling water over the Barleycup in a blender.
  2. Add the coconut oil and the ground cardamom and blend until the smooth before pouring into a tall glass or mug.
  3. Heat the almond milk with the honey then pour onto the Barleycup and serve.
Try Out This Spring

Last But Not Least, Barleycup with Pecans and Sweet Paprika:

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons finely ground walnuts of pecan nuts

2 teaspoons honey

200ml milk

1 vanilla pod

Pinch of paprika (optional)

2 teaspoons boiling water

2 teaspoons Barleycup

Method:

  1. Pour the ground nuts into a glass and mix in the honey.
  2. Add the vanilla pod to the milk and heat until at boiling point then remove the vanilla pod and whisk over the nut mixture with the paprika if using.
  3. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Pour the boiling water over the Barleycup and then combine with the nut mixture before serving.
