5 Upcycle Garden Ideas

5 Upcycle Garden Ideas: Creative Ideas For Spring. Hello friends. Happy Monday. So how are you today?

How does your garden look? Because mine looks so quiet and lonely. My back garden is so dull and boring after winter, it’s not much fun walking into it. So I am planning a fun spring garden makeover.

I really hope my sunflowers grow again this year. They turned out beautiful, last year.

Embrace the beauty of sustainability and creativity with these five upcycle garden ideas, transforming discarded items into charming additions to your outdoor sanctuary.

Old Wooden Creates:

Firstly, start by turning old wooden crates into tall planters. They provide a rustic backdrop for fragrant herbs or cascading blooms. Let them be your shelves, for all your plant pots.

Old Chia Tea Cups:

Secondly, craft charming little planters out of old teacups and saucers to upcycle the whimsical charm of your garden and bring a little bit of nostalgia into your outdoor area. Great for afternoon tea parties.

Old Tires:

Thirdly, recycle old car tyres to create vibrant tyre planters that will revitalise your garden and dispose of old rubber.

Tires can be stacked on top of each other and painted to create a unique planter for your garden. You can also cut the tire in half and use each half as a planter. How cool. You will have so many planters.

Old Plant Posts:

Fourthly, create a creative home for small legendary creatures out of broken terracotta pots to explore the enchanted world of fairy gardens and create a feeling of magic among your flowers.

Pallets:

Finally, transform abandoned pallets into gorgeous raised garden beds to provide both practicality and aesthetic appeal to your outdoor retreat. With the help of these creative upcycle garden ideas, you can nurture the earth with every recycled plant you grow.

5 Upcycle Garden Ideas: Creative Ideas For Spring.

So I have no flowers around and an old shed that needs taking down. Also, no bright coloured flowers as Murphy, my Goldendoodle might chew them!!

So I need something pretty to look at and a lot of colours that are also dog friendly!!

I do have a nice flower box in the front garden, where as Murphy can’t get to.

I am planning a Spring makeover that will not break the bank and I can also use some things I already have in and up-cycle them. We love to recycle wherever possible.

I am thinking about hanging baskets full of flowers, and a few upcycle projects! Maybe a nice wooden patio area and some nice kind of canopy.

Lots of mess to clear away first like the old shed.

Lots of flowers down the sides of the fences and maybe a water feature. Also, a new outside table would be perfect.

Instead of throwing away broken terracotta pots, use them to create a miniature garden. These flower pot husband and wife duo are adorable.

This is a great idea to use up any wine bottles and they look so good. I have a few spare wine bottles from last week just waiting to be upcycled.

Repurpose old jars, wine bottles, and containers. Old containers such as buckets, tin cans can also make great features for a garden.

Pallets can be recycled to create outdoor furniture, vertical gardens, and planters. You may create a practical and rustic piece for your garden by simply sanding them down and applying a coat of paint or stain.

Also, you could use old furniture too. You may turn an old chair or table into a cool planter. A table can serve as the foundation for a container garden, or the seat of a chair can be removed and filled with soil.

Why not use rusty ladders? An old ladder can be repurposed as a vertical garden by leaning it up against a wall. You can either put pots on each step or attach planters to the rungs.

Compost your own waste? Recycling organic waste into nutrient-rich soil for your garden is easy with composting.

I have planted up wellies in the past but find the bigger they are the more often they fall over. Any suggestions how to stop this?

    • 11 March 2016 / 08:11

Whoo I wonder if popping a 1 litre or 2 litre pop bottle inside weighted down would help? or as Margaret said a support stick? stuck through the ground? I am going to try mine in about 4 weeks. I want to paint my kitchen before I start on the garden x
