A Lob Haircut Or You Might Call It A Long Bob!? Happy Friday, friends. So how are you today? All good I hope. Have you had a good week? Let’s talk hair! As I have had a new cut and colour.

Yeah, for finishing work for the week as it is my weekend off now. Something fun about weekends off work, I am not sure what it is and I don’t go far but I suppose I am off work if I want to go far 😉

Maybe it is from way back to when I was a kid and loved to have the weekends off to just do whatever! Even if we do not go anywhere and most probably won’t with covid still around.

It is nice to have the thoughts in mind that a fun day ahead is planned. I will most probably chill all weekend though.

I am loving the new colour I had done yesterday. Finally got it to the shade I wanted. But you can never get it as good as the day you walk out of the hairdressers, can you? Or is this just me? I had it cut and coloured here a few months ago here (Sliding Into The Weekend With A New Haircut) and liked it but just wanted it that bit lighter blonde.

Have you ever put socks in your hair? Love this idea as it does not damage your hair. Look how my hair turned out when I put socks in it: Sock It To Me!!

My daughter found this idea on TickTok and I love it. She finds some really cool ideas on there. Some people even used a rope from their dressing gowns to get the perfect curls.

I also love to put plaits in my hair before bed. Once it has been washed and towel-dried. Then take out the plats the next morning. It is not the best night sleep I’ve had but love the results the next day!

So what are the best hairstyles for over 40? For me, I like pixie bobs, short bobs, long bobs, choppy layers. I think it is all about experimenting with different styles to see which suits you best.

I love long hair and would still have it long but I don’t really think it suits me. It gets a bit dried out with the colour I have every few months, now.

Plus I need it colouring to cover the random grey chunks that are appearing now! I like it long enough to tie it back if I need to and have it down when I like.
