I adore this vintage style dress that I won nearly 4 years ago over on Facebook. It never goes out of fashion and you can dress it up or down. After the year I have had, no more saving it for the best kind of dresses. Who’s with me on this?

The trouble is I have been nowhere to wear it this year, only around the house!! It sure did brighten up my day wearing it with a pop of red lipstick, though.

What Poppies Remind Me Of From Now:

Poppies always remind me of people who lost their lives in the war, but whenever I see a poppy from now on, it will always remind me of my dad.

A few weeks ago, as we drove down the street past our local church in the funeral car, my dad’s friends from the poppy group who could not attend the funeral due to covid restrictions place fake poppies into the ground and stood beside them.

As we drove by they all clapped as a mark of respect. It was so emotional and something I will never ever forget.

He would have been so proud of them for doing this.
