A Poppy Swing Dress That Never Goes Out Of Style

A Poppy Swing Dress That Never Goes Out Of Style. Hello friends. Happy Monday. So how is your week going so far? I booked two days holiday in from work over the weekend so I had a nice lazy weekend!!

I had some more awful new today, that I have to get my head around. When will it ever stop?

Not ready to share yet but if you follow me, you might already guess!? Anyway, onto happier days when things were bearable and I could try to smile!!

A Poppy Swing Dress That Never Goes Out Of Style:

50’s Poppy Dress. I love it. It is so pretty. Do you think so too? Red is my favourite colour so what’s not to love about it. Perfect colour, style and length. 50’s Poppy Dress.

I adore this vintage style dress that I won nearly 4 years ago over on Facebook. It never goes out of fashion and you can dress it up or down. After the year I have had, no more saving it for the best kind of dresses. Who’s with me on this?

The trouble is I have been nowhere to wear it this year, only around the house!! It sure did brighten up my day wearing it with a pop of red lipstick, though.

What Poppies Remind Me Of From Now:

Poppies always remind me of people who lost their lives in the war, but whenever I see a poppy from now on, it will always remind me of my dad.

A few weeks ago, as we drove down the street past our local church in the funeral car, my dad’s friends from the poppy group who could not attend the funeral due to covid restrictions place fake poppies into the ground and stood beside them.

As we drove by they all clapped as a mark of respect.

It was so emotional and something I will never ever forget.

He would have been so proud of them for doing this. See my Poppy Reel Here.

Such an eye catching dress Claire! I love the colors and the print. The best part that I love of course is the twirl factor. I can just imagine twirling over and over in it! I hope you get a break from all of these “bad” news. Hang in there and happy Tuesday!

What a cute dress! It definitely deserves a wear, even if just around the house. Sorry to hear about your awful news, though, that’s no good.

I love dresses and especially the 50’s style. So feminine! I wish that the styles would go back to the way they were. The fabric you chose for the style is so much fun. I like polka dot too.

Claire, what a beautiful dress! And how wonderful that it reminds you of your father. Shooting stars always remind me of my father. I feel like he is watching over me and saying hello whenever I see one!

Aww, that is lovely Shelbee. It is lovely to have thing’s remind us often, isn’t it. My dads favourite music is always playing on the radio at work and I stop each time I hear one of his songs and think of him.
