A Trip To Madame Tussauds – Coronation Street

A Trip To Madame Tussauds – Coronation Street. Hello friends, happy Monday and welcome by Creative Mondays Link up. So how are you today? Another manic Monday with getting up and the getting the children ready for school.

Lunch boxes made now time to post the link up, walk Mollie and put the strew in the slow cooker. I am so glad I do not work Mondays!! So much tidying to be done after the weekend. It never ends, does it!?

A Trip To Madame Tussauds – Coronation Street:

Today I am sharing a few photos from last Summer and a trip to Madame Tussauds In Blackpool and a walk down Coronation Street. We love to visit Madame Tussards when we are in Blackpool as it is so much fun here for the whole family.

What is Madame Tussards in Blackpool? Madame Tussauds Blackpool is a fun place to visit with the whole family. The wax museum opened in 2011, replacing the previous Louis Tussauds waxworks. It features over 80 wax figures of famous celebrities from film’s like James Bond and television characters Vera and Jack to athletes like Mo Farah and musicians like The Beatles. So there will be someone in here everyone in the family will like.

Always Puts A Smile On My Face Here. Well, I was not in a good mood when I first got here. I can tell you!

So I had just ran away from a wasp and turned around and smacked my head into a lampost, which left me falling to the ground and ending up with a bump on my head and a broken toenail! ( You will see my bump a littler closer in the last photo!).

Also, I was in a really grumpy mood!! I had a big headache and felt a bit sick and dizzy from my bump. But I did come out of Madame Tussards in a lot better mood though as it really did cheer me up. So much fun looking at the waxwork figures and taking a selfie or two!

A Trip To Madame Tussauds – Coronation Street:

Walking Through The Doors Of The Rovers Return. How much fun was it stepping into The Rovers Return and meeting some of the soap stars from the past and present! Even if they were not real! It did feel a little unreal walking into The Rovers Return!

Brings back memories of being a child as my Mum and Dad used to watch Coronation Street when I was growing up. I remember their only being 3 channels on the TV then and how exciting it was when Channel 4 came out. How many channels is their now!?

Pulling A Pint With Bet. Stood behind the bar and pulling a pint with Bet Lynch, how cool!! I always remember Bet being behind the bar. I just wish I had put my big earrings in!!

Having A Chat With Deirdre Barlow. Deirdre Barlow was always one of my favourites. Deirdre, I thin had about four weddings and married Ken Barlow twice. I remember her having some great story-lines.

Coronation Street

A Selfie With Ken Barlow. So good Deirdre married him twice!! A selfie with Ken or Ken Barlow to you, ha!!

Coronation Street

A Photo With The Barmaid Michelle Connor: When Kym Marsh join Coronation Street, I had already stopped watching it. Having 4 children and all wanting to watch something on the TV at night got me out of this routine.

I really liked Kym ITV talent show Popstars in 2000 and joined band Hear’Say 🎵 🎵 Wherever you go, Whatever you do, It’s pure and simple, I’ll be there for you. 🎵 🎵. Remember this song?

Where is Madame Tussauds Blackpool?

It is on the golden mile right in the centre and the address is 87-89 Central Promenade Lancashire FY1 5AA if you would like to visit? Not to far from The Tower.

Can You Take Photos In Madame Tussauds Blackpool? Yes you can. Everyone is snapping away with their phones in here.

Do You Need To Book Madame Tussauds Blackpool Tickets In Advance? You can do if you prefer to but we got in quite easily in the school holiday. I would suggest going early when the doors open if you want to get in on the day when it is nice and quite.

Embarrassing Mum: So this week I decided to make a video and put in on You Tube! Why? To embarrass the kids? No, no, no no!! I posted it because, life can sometimes get too serious so I decided I would start make myself smile each day by having a laugh at myself!! Because I really do not laugh enough!!

It is good not to have to worry about everything every single minute of the day and take time off from the serious thing in life. So here it is and hopefully it will make you laugh too!? Embarrassing Mum: On You Tube. Also, this video was taken in Madame Tussaud’s in Blackpool. Created on imovies. You can read my post here: Embarrassing Mum. So much fun.

Monday is a great day not to work- after a busy weekend you need a day to do all the chores! The waxworks looks fun. Good memories of some of those characters.

Fun photos Claire! I am sorry that you were not a happy camper when you got there but I would feel the same way if a wasp was after me. I don’t mind them but they just cannot be too close for comfort! Monday’s are busy for me too as it is my most productive day. Any day after that is always a hit or a miss. Not sure why that is. Wishing you a fabulous week ahead and happy Monday!

We have a Madame Tussauds here in Orlando (Fl), but I haven’t been able to go to it yet (shame since it’s only about half an hour away), but I did get to go to a really cool wax museum like this when we went to Pigeon Forge, TN on vacation. It is so fun how they are more interactive nowadays.

    • 21 January 2020 / 19:04

Oh wow, I would love to visit one in Orlando :):)

Wax museums are cool and creepy, haha! I went to Madame Tussauds in NYC a few years ago. It is really fun to see well known people in wax. Glad it cheered you up, ugh, so sorry about hitting your head.

I want to visit Blackpool so badly. My father lived there for a while. And I always watched Coronation Street when I just lived on my own. That series triggerd my wanted to live in the UK.
