About Me

About Me

About Me: Hi and thank you for stopping by my lifestyle blog by Claire Justine.

I am Claire, a mum of 4 from Nottinghamshire UK who loves to blog. I have now been blogging over 9 years here. Oh wow, when you say it like that it feels like forever!!

You may know me from I Wasn’t Expecting That, Coffee Break Reads or Mollie The Border Collie!? I have written a few blogs over the last 8 years but this one is here to stay.

My babies were small when I first started blogging now all but 1 is taller than me. I have loved every minute of writing my blog and I hope to enjoy the next 8 years just a much.

About Me

Last year was a tough one for our family and our little girl. At 12 year old my Daughter got diagnosed with an eye tumour, coeliac disease, vitiligo, vitamin D deficiency, and to make things worse she needed 4 teeth out and a bridge to straighten out her jaw before a brace fitted!

I am hoping now that year is over, things start to improve! Leading a gluten-free diet has been challenging but we are getting there nicely. Working from home is perfect for me so I am here to take her to all her hospital appointments.

Thankfully now all the diagnoses have been made these appointments are starting to slow down. 2020 is going to be a good year. I can feel it in the air, it will be pack full of fashion, food, fitness and lifestyle posts here too.

I hope you will keep stopping by and have a read? Anyway a bit about me for anyone new here: I’m a 47-year old married mum of 4, who Love’s to run and if I work hard enough maybe one day I will be good at it!?!

Highlights Of 2017:

Not every day you get to bake with Lisa Faulkner!! Think Bake Off this year when Ruby’s cake fell apart and you have me and my Daughters cakes!! All good fun though and Lisa said they were great, so that is good enough for us 😉 Cooking With Belvoir And Lisa Faulkner.

Highlights 2015:

2015 was a great year for me and my blog. The highlight for me was going to Marisota’s head office in Manchester for the day to take part in a photo shoot. I was so nervous as I had never done anything like this before but I loved every minute of it.

Really enjoyed reading about your life and projects. Very nice photos, and especially like the shot of you running down a hill with the photo of you in the background.

I admire how lovely you dress, bake – especially with four children. I aspire to one day get my life back once my children are older, tell me it happens?Emily

So good to meet you Claire. I'm visiting by way of Mona's Linky Party, About Me & About You. It was a pleasure to see the lovely pictures of your family and you so happy and vibrant. I run, too! Actually, I'm 54 and I run 3 minutes/walk 1 minute over and over again. I will be running with a friend who is 61 this Month for a 10K. We have fun and don't worry too much about how long it takes us – just so we finish! Looking forward to reading about more of your adventures and seeing more of your photos, too.
