Afternoon Tea Settings & 7 Tips For The Perfect Spread. Talking of afternoon tea. Blueberry muffins and tea go so good together too, don’t they!? I have just made some yummy blueberry muffins today.

Afternoon Tea Settings & 7 Tips For The Perfect Spread

1.) Mix And Match Old China Dinner Sets. Firstly, afternoon tea and vintage china go hand in hand and looks adorable for afternoon tea. Modern but also give it a vintage feel. Mix and match as many old bits of china cups, saucers, teapots and plates as you can find. So classic. Not got any old china cups? Mix and match plain cups and a nice flowery table cloth to give your table a vintage feel. Of course, any odd or matching tea cups and saucers would look great.

2.) Mini Cakes:

Secondly, mini cakes are great to see like macaroons or cupcakes. Here are a few other mini cake ideas; Gluten-free Mini Elderflower And Lemon Loaf Cakes. So classy. Cake anyone? In particular, mini cakes anyone?

These are quite delicious and very moist little cakes which are perfect with a cup of tea in the afternoon or even as a gift individually wrapped in a small bag with a pretty ribbon. So how tasty too? So sweet. Gluten-free Mini Elderflower And Lemon Loaf Cakes. Another fun recipe is these mini Raw Vanilla Cheesecakes. Fancy making these Mini Raw Vanilla Cheesecakes? and finally this Double Decker Freak-shake Mini-cakes Recipe is so sweet. Fancy making some Double Decker Freak-shake Mini-cakes? How yummy?

3.) Serve Afternoon Tea Sandwiches. Thirdly, serve fun triangle sandwiches with the crust removed. Butter your slices of bread then spread thickly with the sandwich fillings of your choice. Pop the top slice of bread on then cut each sandwich into four triangles. You can remove the crusts or not. Here is a fun recipe; Perfect Egg Mayonnaise And Watercress Sandwiches: because egg mayonnaise make perfect afternoon tea cakes, don’t they?

What better way to start the proceedings than with a classic egg mayonnaise sandwich given added piquancy by fresh peppery watercress? More tea vicar! Perfect Egg Mayonnaise And Watercress Sandwiches.

4.) Serve Freshly Made Scones:

Fourthly, make and serve up some freshly made scones but do not get into an argument about which goes on first, the jam or the cream, ha!! So how about making some BerryWorld Blueberry And Buttermilk Scones With Fresh BerryWorld Blueberry Jam– Light and fruity and simply served split open, with the tastiest freshest tasting jam spooned generously on top, these scones are as close to heaven on a plate as you can get. How about making some BerryWorld Blueberry And Buttermilk Scones With Fresh BerryWorld Blueberry Jam.

Or how about making some savoury ones? Cheese, Celery And Walnut Scones With Parsley Butter anyone? Tasty and very moreish these savoury scones should be served warm with the butter gently melting so you can swirl in a nutty-sweet stick of celery. Cheese, Celery And Walnut Scones With Parsley Butter.

My all-time favourite scone recipe has to have cherries in them! How about trying this recipe out: Afternoon Cherry Scones With Cream And Jerte Picota Cherries On Top. So today I have teamed up with Jerte Picota Cherries sharing a delicious afternoon tea recipe that you can bake up and serve this Summer using their scrumptious Cherries. The Jerte Picota Cherry is a special variety of cherry that is native to the beautiful Jerte Valley in Northern Extremadura, Spain, 200km west of Madrid. This area is famous for the incredible cherry blossom of more than a million trees. Every year a wonderful harvest of cherries a sight to truly behold. 5.) Mini Trifles:

Fifthly, trifle anyone? I love to see like mini trifles at afternoon tea. These Mango Peach And Passion Fruit Trifles are perfect for afternoon tea. How sweet are these mango peach and passion fruit trifles? Fancy trying one? If you prefer, make this trifle in a large glass bowl and arrange the sponge fingers vertically in the fruit layer. Party Berry Trifles anyone? You don’t need to worry about buying fancy glasses for this favourite dessert, just recycle glass jars with nice lids, small chocolate spread jars, jam or yogurt pots all work well. If you are planning an afternoon tea party these would be great and you can add the jars of trifle to a picnic basket or cool bag for a summer picnic on the beach or at an open-air concert and remember to pack the spoons! Party Berry Trifles.

6.) Serve Lots Of Tea. Lots of different teapots full of hot steaming tea would go down nicely. Earl Grey anyone? What is your favourite tea called?

7.) Maybe A Cocktail Or Two?

Last but not least, Gin, Watercress And Pink Grapefruit Cocktail. Of course, it may be that tea is preferred on an occasion such as this, but on the other hand, continue the adventure with this exotic watercress infused cocktail to wash everything down.
