Aldi’s Specialbuys : Home Baking Range…

With the Great British Bake Off so popular at the moment, we can’t stop baking!

Everyone loves eating my handy work. (At least they say they do!?!)

Brownies, cookies, pastries with Cupcakes being our most popular bake this week. To tie in with National Cupcake week.

Earlier this week Aldi sent me some surprise pieces to try out from their ‘The Home Baking Range’.
These all go into store this Sunday 20th September. Be early.

Did someone tell Aldi how much I adore red and white polka dots? I love this fun red and white polka dot apron so much!! It is 100% cotton and feels a really good quality material.

Aldi’s Retro Apron (£4.99) comes in a range of designs including retro polka dot, novelty retro floral and ditsy print, helping any budding baker look the part, whilst keeping clean in the kitchen.

My Son is off to Uni next week and he asked me to buy him some digital scales. What great timing!! My eyes lit up when I saw these in the parcel as I would have liked these myself. My son eats a strict diet. He works out his macros for the day, I often catch him scanning food labels and weighing his portions. His body is a temple apparently! As a treat he can take them with him.

3 in 1 hand blender £12.99. Another handy kitchen accessory that will be perfect for my son to take to Uni too. He asked me if I had anything to mix up his protein pancakes each morning. Now I do!

 And my favourite piece from this range Aldi sent: A slow cooker. Absolute bargain at £12.99.

Cook up a storm in the kitchen with Aldi’s Slow Cooker (£12.99) to help create a whole array of dishes, from smoked haddock chowder to spaghetti bolognese. Available in Metallic Red, Metallic Grey, or Stainless Steel this 3.5L slow cooker has a ceramic inner pot with removable, dishwasher safe parts for easy cleaning. What’s more, the three temperature settings and adjustable thermostat means the slow cooker can be set and returned to later to a cooked meal. Ideal for a minimal effort dish after a long day at work.

I decided to make up a stew. The first one since last Winter. Everyone moaned, oh no not stew!! As I served it up as usual they came running, as expected everyone enjoyed it! Good as I will be experimenting with new recipes over the next few months!
