Candy Smart GOC 580C Condenser Tumble Dryer Review. Hello friends. Earlier this summer we gave up on our washer/dryer.
We were fed up with one thing after another breaking, usually being linked to it being a combination device.
We opted for just a new washer, leaving the drying to mother nature. Unfortunately, with the Summer now gone, we have had to rethink this has it is now not an ideal solution. A new drier then, with Winter looming was a top priority.
It had to be a condenser type and it had to be a reasonable drum size for a family of six.
This post contain a PR sample that I reviewed.

It was an amazing coincidence and surprise then to get the chance to review this Candy Smart Condenser Tumble Dryer. We had a spare slot in the kitchen where a drier would fit and luckily the Candy drier squeezed in nicely.
It has a nice size 8kg drum with plenty of drying options and with at the time of typing a snow-covered garden, it has arrived at just the right time.

Final Thoughts:
Pluses About Tumble Dryer Are:
- Clothes come out not too creased so most things won’t need much ironing. (A blessing!)
- Water tray and fluff filter are easy to access and filter and water tray lights on display panel telling you when they need doing.
- Either set the time manually or use Automatic settings which will range from bone dry to iron dry.
- These settings are the ones I have used the first few loads and save me wasting electricity drying too long.
- Clothes dry quickly compared to my old washer dryer.
- Timer delay mode allowing you to set it up to switch on in middle of the night when electricity tariff cheaper.
- Very easy to use.
- Has a Good quality look and feel to it. Very impressed.
Priced at £206-00
Minus Points About Tumble Dryer Are:
- Slightly louder than expected. Although not excessive.
- People with mobility issues may struggle to reach the bottom of drier to empty water tray.
- Only Category C energy consumption. A couple of the pluses can help to overcome this.

Thank you for this. Some great tips here. I will be using them 🙂
Having just bought a new washer and dryer over in the US, I have learned something new about washers and dryers. To keep your dryer working and drying at its best, not only should you empty the filter between every cycle, but you should also use one of those pesky lint dryer brushes you can get (like a giant bottle brush) and clean out the slot where the filter goes as well because that can get really clogged up.
On the washer front if the machine is a front loader (which course most are in the UK)you should use a washing machine cleaner once a month, because apparently the way a front loader empties the water means that water can collect and become stagnent and can over time affect the washing of your clothes as well as help speed up the degradation of that pesky door seal rubber thing.
You should also wipe around the inside of that rubber door seal thing between washes as well to remove the excess water and that black goo that collects.
Needless to say I have opted for a top loading machine, that is easier to maintain, and holds takes a bigger load, and the dryer I have ordered is just a beast that will take 2 full washing loads at once…
Gotta get myself one of those giant bottle brushes to clean out behind the filter though…..
It is a fact that washers and dryers in the US may be huge, but they also put a much larger dent in your wallet as well…
OMG it was a shocker!
Still can't wait to get in my new house and actually use them…Must be lovely for you to have a dryer to use instead of the UK outside air crisper….
Have to say the crisp air dried towels are something I do not miss since I left sunny Cheshire for the US….lol
