Cross Country Relays At Berry Hill Park

Last week my second eldest son ran the Cross Country Relays at Berry Hill Park. Each year 1,000’s of runners of all ages come to the park to race x country. If this day was not get my running mojo back, no day would.

This is an event all the family love to go to watch. My husband and all my sons had been looking forward to this event for some time. Would it be raining? would it be cold? would it be muddy? like previous year? No, It must have been the warmest year on record for this event, {well in years} as usually I am wrapped up warm hiding behind scarf’s, hat and gloves with the cold.

Not this year!!

The ladies races is the one that inspires me..  Women of all ages, running unbelievably fast… one day lol…

My son did great and was very pleased with his race. It is hard to get a good picture when he is running though…

Sometimes my kids do not want their photo taken…

Sometimes they do lol…

So on Tuesday I did a 6 mile run and rep session at running club, after 5 weeks off from running. Great to get back on it again but the boiler being broken don’t make it easy to get out the door as freezing water is not much of an intensive to get me out running.

Great news too, we have found someone to replace our boiler, put it where we want it putting, and at the right price!!

Roll on a week on Monday…

Haven been to berry hill park in years. My grandparents lived nearby and I spend many a weekend afternoon playing in the park, running through the woods and when it snowed we ice skated on the pond and sledged the hill..

Well done to your son, he looks like the perfect build for running too. It made me laugh seeing the hand over the lens, my kids are right at that "don't take a photo" stage unless it is on their terms! Sounds like that boiler is arriving just in time before the cold weather really sets in. thank you for sharing with me on Country Kids.
