Diet & Fitness Mondays: Fit To Fitter

Diet & Fitness Mondays: Fit To Fitter: Motivation Monday. Hello friends, so how are you today? It has been a long couple of months I have got out of running and all other exercise that I usual do.

All this through being ill for a month with a tooth infection that lead me to have 2 lots of antibiotic and a swollen face and lost half a stone in weight.

After that I spent the next month feeling sorry for myself not doing much exercise and eating lots of cake leading to putting that half a stone back.

Since turning 40, my weight has fluctuated like a yo-yo. When you reach your late 40s, you might then face the same two choices that I did:

First, invest on a brand-new wardrobe of well-fitting, comfortable clothing. Or, you may try to lose weight. (Perhaps purchase some new clothing as well!) You must choose whatever course of action is best for you. As you currently feel, but if you want to shed a few pounds, feel a little healthier, or simply make your favourite clothes fit comfortably once more, you may do it. Read on. Secondly, 3 Reasons To Get Out And Walk- Shake The Winter Blues Away. I have been loving getting out and about on mine and Mollies morning walks and here is why: First, because it’s good for you. We all know that walking is healthy, but we occasionally forget this. Walking is less demanding than running, working out in the gym, or attending a fitness class, so occasionally we neglect to do more of it.

The second reason is because it boosts your mood. If you work from home as I do, you could get bored with your four walls and start to feel down. Going outside and taking a leisurely stroll will help you feel much better. Walking can help you focus and inspire you to concentrate on projects, which is reason number three for why it can help. 3 Reasons To Get Out And Walk- Shake The Winter Blues Away. So good for you.

All that running is so impressive!! I've just started running but gave up after 5 miles last week, trying to do it regularly though as I really want to build it into my routine and tone my legs/bum!xx

I love walking at a fast paste instead of running. I use to run but I would get back and knees pain so for me is walking, some weights and some yoga.I'm so impressed with your commitment and organization skills!

Oh I wish I could run but I would have two black eyes and the council might ask me to pay to repair the pavements! My colleague runs 13 mile on a morning before work and I admire her so much. This time next year I have told her I will be joining her "watch this space"

  5. Please may I?

Well done you. I find it so hard to get motivated. We have a treadmill and I hate it. I look like a demented elephant when I run but I keep trying! Hubby keep threatening to film it and out it on you tube!X x

Wow that's an awful lots of running! Over the past couple of weeks I've taken up running, I was doing 3 days a week but geared it up to 5 times a week. However my legs were so tights yesterday from running 3 days in a row I didn't go today so they could recover a bit. I've got a 5K race on Sunday, a 10K in July and then a half marathon at the end of September so I'm training hard. It's good fun if not a lot of hard work =)Bow Dream Nation xx
