How To Make Delamere Spiced Easter Biscuits. Hello friends. So are you looking for some Easter treats? We love making and baking yummy biscuits and cookies here. Last week we make a cookie jar full of decorated biscuits.

My Daughter really enjoyed making them and keeps asking “when can we make some more!?” She enjoyed decorating the biscuits the most.

So how much fun are these Easter biscuits? Today I am sharing these fun biscuits, perfect for trying out now and making for Easter.

You will also need some Easter themed cookie cutters. Maybe rabbits, eggs, ducks, lambs or Spring flowers.

Also, a few different flavoured icing sugars to complete the look when the biscuits have cooled.

How To Make Delamere Spiced Easter Biscuits:

Who can resist a pink icing-covered Easter bunny biscuit?

Perfect for little hands to practice their baking skills too!

Preparation time: 20 mins
Cooking time: 10 mins

Makes: 8+

Ingredients:

85g Delamere Dairy spreadable butter

85g caster sugar

1 lemon (rind)

170g plain flour

½ tsp mixed spice

50g currants

1 egg, beaten

You Will Need:

Easter or Spring themed cutters

Icing sugar and pastel food colouring

Maybe a few sprinkles

How To Make:

1.) Firstly, preheat oven to 190’C/375’F/Gas mark 5.

2.) Cream the spreadable butter and sugar until pale.

3.) Add lemon rind, then fold in flour, mixed spice, currants and enough egg to bind mixture to a stiff dough.

4.) Roll out biscuit dough to approx. 1cm thick and cut out Easter shapes with your cutters.

5.) Lay on greased baking trays.

6.) Re-roll any leftover dough to make more biscuits

7.) Bake biscuits for 8-10 minutes until golden brown, then transfer to a wire tray to cool.

8.) Once cooled and decorate with icing and sprinkles.
