How many different kitchens do they have at Hampton Court Palace?

Honestly, I lost count!! I would love a few more kitchens in my house to keep up feeding 4 children and a husband!!

I love all the different tins they have for baking (above) I always need more baking trays.

So today I am sharing a few fun pictures inside the kitchens, now I know why I moan I don’t have enough room. Imaging having a room to bake a room to cook a room for making beer and a room for eating!

Pies, I love a good meat pie!

Or mixing bowls, for that matter!!

I bet the open plan kitchens are quite chilly in winter with no carpets. Lots of baskets here. I wonder if these were for carrying freshly baked bread.

Lots of freshly cooked meat joints here. Let’s hope they didn’t have a dog to pinch any.

A Real Fire:

A real fire too! So, I wonder what it is like cooking a chicken on an open fire?

Look of the size of the beer barrels, or did they contain wine, I wonder?

That's really interesting. Cooking must have been hard in the old days. 🙂
