Lady In Red: Styling A Spring Dress In Winter

Lady In Red: Styling A Spring Dress In Winter. Welcome To The Weekend Link up.

Hello friends and welcome back to the blog. So how are you today? Feeling cold? I know I am.

Lighter Nights Are On The Way, though. Firstly, over the last few days when I finished work at 4PM I have noticed it is not as dark as it was a few weeks ago and it has really cheered me up.

I love spring and can not wait to wear my dresses, more. Do you too?

Lady In Red: Styling A Spring Dress In Winter. I really do not like the dark evening, so seeing daylight when I finish work is lovely. Even if it is only for a little while.

The the lady in red, outfit of the day, today as we start to think about different seasons. Even in the depths of winter. I love to dream about warmer weather.

Embracing the vibrancy of spring thoughts, I defy the cold with a bold statement: styling a spring dress in winter. Layering becomes the key to merging warmth with elegance.

A cosy t-shirt layered under the dress adds both warmth and dimension, creating a chic ensemble that exudes sophistication.

To combat the chill further, I reach for a fun faux fur jacket, draping it effortlessly over my shoulders when inside but on outside!!

With each step, I embrace the spirit of resilience and refinement, proving that even in winter’s icy grip, the lady in red outfit can and will be worn.

What I’ve Been Buying Lately?

Lady In Red: Styling A Spring Dress In Winter. When I was walking through Primark the other day I noticed this pretty red flowered dress. I really do not need any more dresses but this one caught my eye and it was in the sale.

Knocked down in price from something like £15.00 to £5.00 so I could not resist it. I love anything red too as it is such a cheerful colour.

So what do you think about this bargain dress? Had to been worn, straight away, didn’t it?

Lady In Red: OOTD And Welcome To The Weekend:

Trying To Give Up On Buying New Clothes for A While.

I am trying not to buy any clothes at the minute now as I do not go out much and I really do not need any. I have made this decision since buying a lot of sparkly Christmas clothes from Sainsbury’s.

But this bargain dress from Primark and the most amazing polka dot circle dress from H M for Spring Summer, was calling me to buy them.

Oh and some bargain trainers for the gym that I am thinking of re-joining next week.

What Else Could I Need?

Well, maybe some new running legging over the next few weeks as I went out for my 2nd run in about 6 months yesterday and my leggings were tight!!

Re-wear. Last but not least, from now on I am going to try and re-wear my old favourite clothes and lose a little weight to fit into all my older clothes that the wardrobe fairy shrank!!

Are you on a budget at the minute, have too many clothes and not enough places to wear them or simply only wanting to buy something you really need?

Or do you need lots of new things for Spring that is just around the corner?

I’m at the point where I just need to flesh out what I have. I have some leggings with no tops to match for example. And I need to work on accessorizing. All of that said, I would probably have a hard time passing up that beautiful red dress for that price! LOL!

I’m with you on the lengthening days! So much better.

This is very good resolution. I’m having the similiar one – to shop in my closet. If this option isn’t possible, I’ll try thrifting. To buy the new clothes will be the last resort. I’m quite curious how I’ll be managing this resolution this year. Thank you for sharing your post with My Red Carpet.

That is one of my goals this year, to spend less money on clothes and wear what I have. I purchased a lot of sweaters this fall and winter and really have a short short list of what I would like to add to my closet this year.

Thanks lovely. I do have enough things to last me a few years really. So do not need anything. Just want, ha!

Claire, what a great dress! I am also trying not to buy new things and refocusing on second hand shopping when the bug hits me and I need a quick shopping fix. But I can understand why you couldn’t resist this cute dress. It is adorable. I love the color, the print, and the style…and of course, the price!
