It is amazing how much fun you can have going for a walk with a hubby, 2 kids and a dog in the rain! Mollie is always full of surprises and the kids are always making me laugh out loud.
A few weeks ago we took Mollie up to the park with her first frisbee to see what she would make of it. The children were not to fussed about going as it was a bit rainy and nearly getting dark. Eventually they decided to come along for a walk.
Mollie learned how to play fetch with her frisbee straight away. She loved running after it. She also got the idea of what to do straight away. She loved it so much she did not want anyone to take it at first. The she realised you have to let someone take it, to throw it for her!
Could you imagine the horror on Mollies face when someone chucks her frisbee and it got stuck up a tree? Cough, cough, the husband!!
She was running around like crazy looking for it!?!
Looking up at the sky, wondering when it would come back down.
We looked around for ages trying to find sticks to throw at it to try and move it but it was hooked on to a branch. So high up. No way of moving it!?!
Then I went into the woods and found a big broken off part of tree to see if this would reach it.
Then we found another branch and kept trying to move the tree, but the frisbee would not move one little bit.
Even team work could not moved it.
Then my husband came up with an idea. They turned the broken tree around and try the “hook a duck” style approach to it.
Ta-Da it work!! Mollie got her frisbee back!! Just before it got dark.
My husband said after ” no need for the gym now””
We have 2 frisbees now; just in case one gets stuck in a tree again!!

Awww it sounds like Mollie absolutely loved the frisbee. Definitely a good idea to have two, but it sounds like some good teamwork went on to get the frisbee back. I love fun days out like this. Clever thinking to use a branch. Thank you so much for linking to #whatevertheweather. xp.s. please could you add our badge so you can be in the running to be featured for the competition and so others can find out about our lovely linky. xxx
Lol! Great problem solving! Poor Mollie, she must have been distraught, I'm sure she was very pleased to get it back again. Well done to your husband for working out how to get it back again, maybe next time he'll have to climb the tree to get it back! Thanks so much for linking up to #Whatevertheweather 🙂 x
Love that it had a happy ending!!! I know Molly was grateful! XO Chelsea

Lol what a great story ,!!!
Ha, thank you 🙂
I love the creative use of the branch, sounds like a perfect way to get everyone's brain and muscles working along the walk and a happy Molly by the end! I love it when an ordinary event has a litle twist to make it a memorable one. Thank you for sharing with me on Country Kids.
