My Desert Island Discs Playlist Of Songs I Love:

Over the last few months, things haven’t been great so to cheer me up, I love popping my favourite songs on.

I was going through some old posts and found this one from 4th February 2014.

I still love all these songs regularly and thought this post needed updating and giving a few new photos to revive it.

My Desert Island Discs

So Here It Is:

(YEARS AGO, HA!) I was tagged by the lovely Victoria who blogs over at Vevivos in my selection of Desert Island Discs.

My Desert Island Discs Playlist Of Songs I Love:

I love all kinds of music especially songs that are feel good or get me pumped up to exercise!!

The 90s is my favourite decade. Ace Of Base, Shaggy, The Bluebells well I am young at heart!?! from the time when I met my husband.

Always love chart music too.

Traditionally, the guests on Radio 4′s desert island discs are allowed to choose 8 pieces of music, a book, and one luxury item.

You are also granted the Complete Works of Shakespeare (fab!) and a Bible or another religious publication notable to you.

Not an easy task by any means.

17 Reasons I Am Looking Forward To Summer

My Desert Island Discs Playlist Of Songs I Love:

So here are my Desert Island Disc picks~

Happy~ Pharrell Williams. Firstly, I love this song it is such a feel-good, and just seeing the face on my kid’s faces when I’m dancing around the kitchen is priceless.

Ouch, hurt my side this morning from dancing too much, lol.

How Long Will I Love You? Secondly, I love; How Long Will I Love You? sung by – Jon Boden, Sam Sweeney & Ben Coleman from the new film About Time.

I will be queuing to buy this film when it gets released. If there is one love film to watch this year, this is the film!!

Come Up And See Me, Make Me Smile. Thirdly, love, love love The Full Monty.

‘Come Up And See Me’ is such a feel-good song. I always want to go and do star jumps on that hill in Sheffield when I hear this song. (Still not got there!!)

“I’ve got a degree in ass-wigglin’, mate!!”

“Nobody told us about the full monty”

“I’ve already seen you hoovering and let it go”

Yes, I could have been a part of this movie as I know it word for word!!

These Boots Are Made For Walking. Fourthly, being a shoe lover and all that, I can’t forget to mention another favourite film. These Boots Are Made For Walking from Kinky Boots film.

Another great film. Ekk, I want to watch this now. I always wanted to design my own shoe range!!

17 Reasons I Am Looking Forward To Summer

The Book Of Love:

Fifthly, you guessed it, did I mention that I love movies? Ha!! This song makes the hairs stand up on my arms in this tear-jerking scene.

The Book Of Love from Shall We Dance.

Love this clip “dries eyes” “You’ve been dancing with me for 19 years”….

Just Give Me A Reason: Sixth, my running playlist would not be complete without- The Truth About Love album from Pink!! (Oh my, I listen to this album still every day!). Gotta love Pink.

Titanium. Seventh, David Guetta, Titanium. Some people may upset you from time to time and this is my feel-good song. So ~ fire away, FAR AWAY lol lol !!

Another amazing motivational song.

Go Gentle. Last but not least and, no Island disco would be complete without my favourite man in music!! Robbie Williams ~ So when you giving your heart make sure they deserve it!!

My Desert Island Discs Playlist Of Songs I Love: Which Songs Would You Choose?

I don’t read much with blogging, crafting, internet, running, gym, and children taking up all my free time. I do not read Shakespeare so I would maybe take a book to read?

50 Shades Of Grey, maybe? As shock and horror, I may be the only person who has not read it? (still have not read it after 6 years!!).

Also, my luxury item would be trainers as I would love to run in the sunshine. So, what would your Desert Island Discs list be? Let us know!!

Hmm, wonder if Pharrell could be my luxury item? Brilliant list, I love music from films, you always get that reminder of how you felt watching a particular scene too. I am still agonising over my list! Great #AllAboutYou link upMama-andmore.com

But yes, I will do it!xInteresting choices, I actually don't know a lot of them (yep, I am that dense when it comes to modern pop music!) – I love Young at heart- that was one my sister had and I think of her and I sharing a bedroom as teen and child when I think of that one!Oh and I haven't read 50SOG either!x

Great list, but I'm still busy mooning over the mere mention of Pharrell at the top of the list, sigh. Thanks so much for linking up to #AllAboutYou, I think I might have to do my own Desert Island Discs list..

Pink and Robbie Williams are favourites of mine too (and the hubby went to school with Robbie!), and who doesn't love shoes? Oh yes then there's the 50 Shades of Grey thing – I haven't read it either. :)Great post! #AllAboutYou
