Celebrating Sandwich Day: A Tribute to the Ultimate Classic. Also a, Welcome To The Weekend Blog Hop.

Happy Friday friends. How has your week been? Good, I hope?

My youngest Son has been off school a few days this week with a fever and sore throat. I am just hoping I do not get it next!! I hate being ill. Then again, nobody likes being ill, do they!!

Today is also Sandwich Day. Yum, I love a good sandwich. Tuna mayo and cucumber, peanut butter and banana, prawn mayo and cheese and pickle, ham and cheese salad to name a few favourites.

Celebrating Sandwich Day: A Tribute to the Ultimate Classic. So what are your favourite flavoured sandwiches?

Every November 3rd, foodies worldwide celebrate National Sandwich Day, a day honouring one of the most popular and versatile food inventions in the world.

Sandwich Day is the ideal reason to savour your favourite portable meal, whether it’s an artisanal vegetarian stack, a hefty Philly cheesesteak, or the traditional BLT.

Let’s explore the variations, and celebrations of this wonderful day.

How sandwiches are made To begin with, is that they are very adaptable. Weather a pickled veggies, and fresh herbs, or something like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Additionally, sandwiches are portable, which makes them a practical choice for people with hectic schedules, and they accommodate all dietary requirements, from vegan to gluten-free.

What makes sandwiches great? You can fill them full of your favourite ingredients!

Welcome back to this weeks ‘Welcome To The Weekend Blog Hop’. Happy you are here and hope you have fun hopping around the blog hop to find new blogs to follow.

Claire, those sandwiches all look fantastic! I once had a football party where I made a whole bunch of different giant sandwiches to share. I had some great recipes for those, too. I need to find them now. I hope your son is on the mend soon. I still have laryngitis from a sore throat that started almost 3 weeks ago! Shelbee

Hi Claire, I do like a nice sandwich in decent bread. Mature cheddar and branston pickle has to one of my favs. I'm a simple soul. If you're going to have peanut butter and banana you may as well add a smear of Nutella, makes the perfect sandwich pud… Fingers crossed you don't get sick!Thank you for hosting.xx
