This has to be one of my favourite special treats ever. So today I am Introducing Canderel Sugarly Festive Skinny Tiramisu. Great if you are trying to cut down. This is a perfect recipe for afternoon tea.

What is Tiramisu? Tiramisu is an Italian dessert with a coffee flavour. It is usually prepared with ladyfingers dipped in coffee and covered with a cocoa-flavoured whipped mixture of eggs, sugar, and mascarpone cheese. The recipe has been used to make a wide range of cakes and sweets.

How To Make A Skinny Tiramisu: Why miss out on this Italian treat!

Serves 4 | Prep 20 mins | Cook 30 mins

You Will Need:

  • 200ml fresh strong coffee, cooled
  • 8 sponge type fingers halved lengthways and sugar side discarded
  • 1 egg, separated
  • 25g/2oz tbsp Canderel Sugarly
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ x 180g pack low fat soft cheese lightest
  • 100g half fat crème fraiche
  • 25g/1oz 75% dark chocolate, finely grated

You will need a deep sided serving dish, or use individual ones

Skinny Tiramisu Method:

How To Make:

  1. Dip each sponge finger in the cooled coffee, then sit the in the base of the dish or dishes and put to one side. In the food, mixer whisk the egg whites until soft peaks, spoon into a bowl and put to one side.
  2. Using the food mixer now beat the egg yolk and Canderel Sugarly until creamy then add the vanilla extract, cream cheese and crème fraiche and beat until smooth.

Cook’s Tip: This is alcohol free, but if you wish drizzle some marsala, brandy or dessert wine over the sponge fingers for a special occasion, feel free!

    Another lovely sounding recipe. I'm not a coffee fan so I don't know if it would be for me but I like the idea of using Canderel in desserts, that is a great idea

      Thanks Nikki,I don't like coffee but love this, lol … it is very strange but I can not drink coffee as it is to strong for me but love cakes, buns or coffee chocolate!!
