Tell Me What You Did Last Weekend And I Tell You What I Did! Hello friends, happy Monday.
So how was your weekend? We had a busy but oh so Lovely Saturday and I had a nice chilled Sunday as my husband had work.
On Saturday we visited Melton Mowbray and had a lovely walk around the town. We went to visit my son and his girlfriends.
It was over an hour’s drive away from us so the first stop was Macdonald’s for a double sausage and egg muffin breakfast meal.
Tell Me What You Did Last Weekend:
Melton Mowbray is a town in Leicestershire, England, 19 miles north-east of Leicester, and 20 miles south-east of Nottingham.
It looks lovely here and there was plenty of shops to visit. It was market day and I have always loved looking around the stalls.
You can not visit Melton Mowbray without buying one of their famous pork pies, can you?
What makes them famous for their pork pies, you might wonder? The pies are baked free-standing which gave them a bow-shaped appearance when they came out of the oven.
My son went to fetch ice coffees for everyone. I didn’t like to say that I didn’t like it. I usually love soya milk but I tried oat milk.
My son’s girlfriend then said, oh I don’t like oat milk, it tastes a bit sour! So it was then OK to say.
Do you like cold coffee?
If so, what is your favourite go-to milk?

Tell Me What You Did Last Weekend:
On Saturday afternoon we went to visit my mum and Freddie. I did mention in yesterday’s post ( You Can Leave Your Hat On: Street Art Sunday. You Can Leave Your Hat On ) that he was being good and his stitches were healing OK.
But since then I found out he had nibbled a few stitches out. Oh bless him. Back to the vets for Freddie today!!

Love the tan belt with your pretty green dress. You look super.
Last weekend I went to London to watch my son scull on the Thames, Sunday was more relaxed with a lovely meal out instead of cooking a roast – result. Jacqui x

Sounds great, Jacqui. Love visiting London x
Such a pretty dress! I drive through Melton Mowbray when I visit my mum, there are some lovely villages in that area. I always have oat milk in coffee at home (usually Oatly barista) but I have soya milk when I buy a latte. I only like soya milk in tea though. Thanks for linking up!

Thanks for hosting and stopping by.
I’m not a lover of coffee but do drink it occasionally, although I really don’t like the idea of cold coffee as it sounds so wrong, so I’ve never actually tried it
My go too milk is Rice Milk as it’s a little sweet but not too much so xxx
Author
Thanks Dawn, I know what you mean. It took me a few years to try one then I actually like it.
Can’t remember the last time I had a Melton Mowbray pork pie ! What a treat. Only have 1 coffee a day, a cappuccino, but a cold coffee is nice on a really hot day x
Author
Thanks Gail. Aww it was amazing. We had it with cheese and pickles, so yummy.
Freddie is such a cutie, and I am loving your floral dress!
This past weekend we celebrated my dad’s 65th birthday- it was a lovely time with the family!

Sounds like a great weekend, love family parties here.
I love an iced coffee in the summer! Such a beautiful dress on you! Looks so good belted!
Jill

Thanks Jill, I love it with a belt.
I love that dress! My go-to milk is oat for hot drinks and soy for cold!
Author
Whoo I will have to try oat milk in hot coffee.
Iced coffee? I guess that I don’t have more than one per summer. Why? Because I love them with tons of whipped cream.
Author
Yes, that does sound good.
Poor little dog!! Hopefully they do the trick this time.
Author
Thanks Lydia, all good, I think.
You look beautiful as always and so glad you got some Freddie time!.
Author
Thank lovely. Love spending time with him. He is adorable.
Aw, poor Freddie! I just found out my girl has to get drops in her eye and has to wear a cone.
Anyhow, love the dress with the little daisies and your yellow sandals. Sounds like a lovely weekend!

Aww, hope she is OK jess? Thanks so much for joining us.
This might be one of my favorite dresses on you! So pretty and I really like the belt with it. I have been wearing a lot more belts lately!
Author
Aww, thank you. It looks nice without a belt but I prefer it with a belt when I am out or it is too floaty.
What a pretty dress! I love it with the belt. I was on a road trip all week so last weekend wasn’t any fun for me as I spent 12 hours in a car coming home, then the next day it was all about laundry, shopping and unpacking. But I had a great vacation!
Author
Aww, sounds busy but I bet you had a great time on your road trip.
Claire, I love this green floral dress! And it looks so great belted, too. As for cold coffee, I only drink it occasionally in the summer time. I much prefer my coffee hot and black! But when it is iced, I do like some French vanilla creamer in it.

Thanks Shelbee, who I love vanilla in mine too.
I am not a coffee drinker at all; I have never had more than a single sip here and there and have yet to actually enjoy a taste (though I do love the smell of it!).
Author
Thanks Joanne. I never touch any coffee until I was 40. Now I have 2 milky ones, everyday!
Freddie looks so sweet! Sorry the ice coffee wasn’t great. It’s a favourite treat of mine!
Author
Thanks Lisa. I must stick to my favourite milk.
