The Christmas Forest: Christmas Tree Review:
Christmas has always been a magical time of year for me. Ever since I was little and my Mum and Dad showered me with presents and the magic of Christmas.
When I was younger my Mum would always take my photo in front of the biggest real Christmas tree that they could fit in our house.
Every Christmas morning the living room would be full of amazing presents, just for me. (One of the perks of being an only child and not having to share the presents with anyone!).
When our 2 eldest boys were little we always carried on the Christmas tradition of buying a real tree.
I remember the fun times of going out and picking your tree from the place near us that sold Christmas trees.
You used to pick up a tree, think no this ones not right, put it down, then look around and see someone holding up the most perfect tree and then realising it was the one you put down!!
As our family expanded to 3 then 4 children we had to stop buying a real tree because of the room we needed for all their presents.
Also, our car no longer had room for us all to fetch one.
The Christmas Forest: Christmas Tree Review:
A few weeks ago The Christmas Forest got in touch with me to see if we would like to review one of their real ‘Christmas Forest’ Christmas Trees.
We had already decided last year that we were going to have a real tree this year as our children did not stay small for long.
Having two teenagers and two children in their 20’s we no longer have a room full of Christmas presents as they get older their presents get a lot smaller and much more expensive!!
Also, I wanted to share the magic of having a real tree with my youngest Son and Daughter who have never had the delights of a real tree at home before.
The great thing about buying a tree from The Christmas Forest is if you do not have space in your car to go and fetch one you can have one delivered so no need to even leave your home.
I knew the Christmas Tree was arriving any day but when I got home from work and I knew everyone had left for school or work.
I had a little bit of a shock when I saw it laying on the kitchen floor!!
Haha!! Looks like a dead body had been delievered.
The Christmas Forest: Christmas Tree Review:
That night we tried to get it in the stand but we could not do it.
A few hours later we give up and left it overnight. Real trees are so heavy to be held for too long.
We never thought until the next morning, wouldn’t it be easier to remove the string netting holding it together and let the branches fall open to distribute the weight!?.
Doh!! How long ago since we had a real tree!?!
We got it straight up after this.
We got it into position and left it a few days to properly dry out before we put the lights and decorations on it. Remembering to give it a drink of course!
The Christmas Forest: Christmas Tree Review:
My Daughter was excited and kept asking every hour if we could decorate it.
I had been busy working on Sunday and Monday so it was lovely and dry by Tuesday when we finally got around to decorating it.
We love our real Christmas tree thanks to The Christmas Forest.
