Valentines Day Roses…

 

Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

Sugar is sweet,

 and so are you!

 

I remember making lots of Valentines day verse up at school. Oh my, looking back at my book now (30 years old) they were so funny.

 

Happy Valentines Day. I hope you are having a lovely day? 

 

Any special plans for today? Is love in the air?  Did you receive any Valentine’s Dat cards?

 

I have had lovely weekend especially a nice suprised gift on Friday from my Valentine was lovely.

 

My husband brought me 15 red, yellow and pink roses for Valentine’s day when he came in from work on Friday. What a beautiful surprise!? I love roses, especially red ones.

 

The bouquet is stunning {Pictures of them all to come later this week!}.

 

I have enjoyed receiving them, taking lots of pictures of the, looking at them and arranging them into my glass vase. 

I love roses and would love to grow them in my own garden. Trouble is I am worried that Mollie, my pet dog might eat them as she eats everything. I put some grass seeds down once and she kept sneaking outside to eat them!

I love this shot so much, I thought this picture would be perfect in black and white.I love how the water lays on the rose.

Any nice plans for today? Are you doing something special? Going anywhere nice? Staying in and cooking a romantic meal?

My husband, it at work today so we are just chilling later when he gets in. It is really nice to do something special on Valentines Day but not always practical. We will have our special day together on his day off work later this week.

    Now that's such a twist with being in black and white. Roses are normally photographed showing all of their colours. I love the light and shade. They're beautiful and look timeless captured this way.
