I was so cold over the last few days, I am hoping the sun will come out today. Then again I will not see it as I’m at work all day!

When You Save Something For Best But Then Never Actually Wear It. I was sat thinking yesterday that I have a lot of pretty items of shoes and clothing that I’ve brought over the years that get saved for best and then never actually get worn.
Last year I got a polka dot dress for my birthday which still has tags on. The sparkly shoes I had on a few days ago, I’ve had a few years and never got worn. The sparkly jumpsuit I brought at Christmas never got an outing.
My Irregular Choice collection is amazing but all still in their boxes. One thing this awful situation we have found our self’s in has reminded me never to save things for best!
Love this jacket and I’ve had it years but guess what!? I’ve worn it a handful of time because…. I’ve saved it for best. No more saving things for best… . Methinks!!
Spending More Time Outdoors:
Over the last few weeks with lockdown, it has been really hard with only one form of exercise a day. My dog wants to walk first thing but my daughter wanted to go out after lunch.
So I have had to go out most mornings with the dog and let my Kids go out later on their own. Which has been nice for them but mum likes to go with them too and have a chatter.
From Wednesday here in the UK we can go out more for exercise so it will be lovely having the choice.

Fourthly, Polka Dots: Classic And Timeless Plus A Birthday Treat In Nottingham. My husband, youngest son daughter and I, were meeting my eldest Son in Nottingham to all go out for a meal. My 2nd eldest Son could not make it as he lives about 140 miles away.
Off we went for a nice walk around the shops then I picked where I wanted to have my birthday lunch. Cosmo, it was then. For an, all you can eat buffet. With extra cakes for my birthday. Before we went to lunch my eldest Son had to nip into the train station to pick up a train ticket, or at least that is what I thought.
I didn’t want to go to the train station so my daughter and I had a look at a quickly vintage shop we like to visit. When we came out, I could see my Husband and boys laughing but it took me a few seconds to register.
My 2nd eldest Son had come on a 300 round trip to see me and have lunch with us all together. Polka Dots: Classic And Timeless Plus A Birthday Treat In Nottingham.

I’m so guilty of this. I bought so many wardrobes and yet, half of them I have not figured out which appropriate event I should wear to.

What a lovely jacket it really suits you! I think all of my clothes except one pair of jeans and a ratty jumper are best. I love pretty clothes but never wear them as I think what’s the point of I am just in the house and they will get covered in sticky toddler finger marks. My parents had a lot of ‘good china’ and ‘for best’ and it’s made me think that’s the most pointless thing in the world. Just use everything – no matter how precious it is. If it breaks, if you stain it, at least you got the joy out of it while you could, rather than have it sit in a cupboard doing nothing. My wedding dress was a very expensive evening gown and 20 years on I still dig it out to wear if I have a formal event. I love it (it’s not white). That jacket is great. We have eased into being allowed over to people’s houses for dinner and I’ve decided that if you go out, you have to get dressed up. Because otherwise, when will you wear those clothes??? #KCACOLS

Aww, I know what you mean. I have my grandmas old china cups but they are really delicate and I don’t want to break them by using then. I try not to save my best plates anymore 🙂

Such a cute jacket! Love the polka dots. I have a few dresses that I’ve never worn because it just hasn’t been the right time. I think I need to just pull them out and wear them around the house!

I have a couple tops that I don’t wear enough because they were pricey! Many businesses have opened where I live, but have occupancy restrictions. We have gone out to dinner, though!

I have quite a few items in my closet that I don’t wear nearly enough (or at all) because I bought it for a trip or event that didn’t happen or I haven’t found just the right place to wear it (or just the right thing to go with it) but I am trying to be more intentional about wearing more of my items more often instead of the same old thing. I LOVE your entire outfit!
