Parkrun Park Fun: Clumber Park Parkrun Trails And Other:
Today I am sharing some of Parkrun photos from the last few weeks. So much fun to be had to get up early, travelling around and running throw woods and fields with the family.
So what is Parkrun? Parkrun is a free, fun and friendly weekly 5k timed event. You can jog, run, walk or even volunteer also you can spectate if you are not to sure. If you take part you do have to register on their website and download a barcode to scan at the event if you want to get your official times.
Parkrun Park Fun: Clumber Park Parkrun Trails And Other
Firstly, Clumber Park Parkrun. Clumber Park was so much fun. It is a 2 lapped course and I ran with Mollie the Collie here. Look at the image above. Beautiful! No one around and so peaceful and quite. I kinda loved this course. Love running through the woods on a Saturday morning, trying to chase the other runners down. OK I might not have caught them, I also might have been overtaken a lot!! but the motivation was there.
Secondly, Rother Vally. At Rother Vally, it is one big lap around the lake and beautiful views of the lake. If you’re slow like me you can even see the finishers come in when your half way around. Also, I watched one of my sons win her once!! Really, I like one lap as it goes on forever. As I ran one of my first ever races here and it was 2 laps. I got in the car afterward and said ‘I am never ever running again’ But I did.
A tired selfie afterwards. Look at the view of being out running in nature 🙂 My husband took Mollie this time as it was warm. He took her for a jog to get it over quickly. With me, she would have been running ages.

Thirdly, Sherwood Pines. It never rains but it pours!! Here we are at Shewood Pines Parkrun. Loved running out in the rain. So refreshing. Once out there anyway. I would never choose to run out in it first! My rain buddies! My daughter and Mollie.

Today is also Etch A Sketch Day! Do you remember these toys? I remember these being so popular growing up in the 70’s & 80’s. Do you too? I spent many of days trying to master trying to draw something on one of these. Although, I never could though and then you would see some amazing things that had been drawn on them in the papers. Why could I never draw amazing things on them! Ha!!

Firstly, 25 Minutes Parkrun Goal: Part 1 Run Mum Run. Hello friends, so how are you today? 25 Minutes Parkrun Goal, eh?. I can not believe how unfit I have become over Winter. We ran our first Parkrun of the year two Saturdays ago. Also in the heavy rain. The race was run by me, my youngest son, and my eldest son’s girlfriend. It was also her first Parkrun. This week, my daughter got out of it by claiming she wasn’t feeling well and watching it with her brother.
My son, bless his heart, slipped on the starting line and mucked up his entire leg. It wasn’t until after the race was over that I noticed he had seriously sliced his knee and was covered in blood.Even with his kneecap ripped to shreds, he managed to complete the course in under 24 minutes. My son’s girlfriend fared well as well, clocking in at just over 25 minutes 25 Minutes Parkrun Goal: Part 1.
Secondly, Back Out Running: The Wordless Or Not So Wordless Wednesday Link Up! I am happy to say I have started running again. Last week I ran 4; three-mile runs. The longest I have run since November last year. This week I have already run on Monday and Tuesday. I think it is time for a day off today! Back Out Running.

I loved using the Etch a Sketch but always felt a bit bad that the image never came out like I imaged it would.

You hit me with a powerful memory of my love for that toy and like you I have things in my head that are wonderful art wise but can never quite turn them into reality. But then you hit me with Clumber Park too which I used to call Clumsy Park for some reason as a kid. Fond memories of happy more innocent days – thamks.
