This gentle January I’m looking after my for body, mind and soul and writing a few tips down, to remind me.

Hello friends, Happy Sunday. So how are you today? Have you also had a good Christmas? Have you eaten or drank too much and feeling grr? Because I know I have.
January is all about gentle resets, cosy routines and nourishing food for me this year.
So no extreme diets. No exhausting fitness plans. And no fast food. Just a healthy outlook.
(Shh don’t tell my mum we are not going out for breakfast no more!!). Haha. maybe once a week treat!!
Here are some simple, comforting habits that help you feel your best during the winter months.
I have a big year, a trip to New York and my sons wedding and I want to start off on a good foot and be stronger, fitter and healthier this year that I have for the last few years!!
Here are some easy things to do and eat in January, perfect for anyone over 50 who wants to start the year feeling calm, warmer and well.

Dark mornings are easier with a comforting routine.
Take a few deep breaths before getting out of bed. Wake up gently. Try to wake up early so you do not have to rush out the door.

- A slow breakfast routine.
- A nice warm cup of coffee.
- Reading or journaling for a few minutes to wake you up.
- A few moments of gratitude.
- Also, a little walk to the shops or out with the dog.
- Even 10 minutes of calm can set the tone for the day.
- Lay out clothes or plan breakfast the night before.

January is the perfect time to move your body kindly. Daily walks wrapped up warm. Join a gym. Go for a swim. Go for a run or jog. It all helps to keep you warm.
