3.) Upcycle An Old Top Into A New Pegbag. Thirdly, this is one of my favourite recycling projects, ever!! I love this peg bag and it lasted years. Sadly one day it got old and mould as I started to leave it outside. It lastest so many years though so I can not complain!! Upcycled Sparkly Peg Bag: Recycling And Reusing. Love upcycling and creating something new that has a purpose. I upcycled this new peg bag a while ago (upcycled new peg bag). So, I created it a few years ago and It lasted a few year but towards the end of last summer, it went a bit green with forgetting to bring it inside after using the pegs. Upcycled Sparkly Peg Bag: Recycling And Reusing.

5.) Refashion: 5 Minute Makeover: Old Jeans New Shorts. Fifthly, a great time of year to sort out any old jeans and up cycle them into new shorts. I love mine I made a few weeks back. What you need: Old jeans, pin’s, sharp scissors How to make: Simply pin where you would like them to; Refashion: 5 Minute Makeover: Old Jeans New Shorts.

A funny story about this photo too. Years ago I entered a competition to win an expensive pair of jeans from Selfridges. I won the Instagram competition and won a £280 pair of jeans of my choice. When I was visiting one of my blogger friends blog, who lives in London. I realised she had been to a jeans even in London and too a photo of Selfridges window from outside.

My photo of these jeans were in the window!! I was so proud and wanted to rush down to see it. Also, how cool would it have been to go down and take selfies. But sadly I didn’t get chance too.

6.) Jeans Vase:

Sixth, something to make with your cut off legs of your jeans! I Recovered an old jar with my jean leg and popped an artificial flower inside. Up-Cycled Jeans Vase. So fun.

8.) Upcycle An Old Whisky Bottle. Last but not least, upcycle an old whisky bottle. I got a lovely bunch of flowers on Sunday as an early birthday present. How lucky am I!? I up-cycled an old Jack Daniels bottle, into a flower vase to pop my pretty flowers in and I love how it turned out. Up-cycled Whisky Bottle : Wednesday Blog Hop. So much fun.

You know how I love a bit of upcycling! Any bottle , jar or tin with a fun, cute or vintage looking label is practically begging to be reused right? Who wouldn’t love a Jack Daniels vase?!

I enjoyed seeing your ideas as I love upcycling all kinds of things. I think one of my all time faves was when I took a long maternity top, took it in, added elastic to the waist–my daughter loved it as a dress! She’s 39 now. It took me over 25 years to wear out flour bag pillowcases that my mom made for my hope chest. My mom–first generation Polish who grew up during the Depression–made 2 pillowcases out of a 10 cent rummage sale gathered skirt; we had colored linens LONG before it was popular! Anything we can do to help the Earth should be done!

These are all such great ideas Claire! I really love the the jeans vase. Things are loosening up here with the quarantine rules but I will continue being vigilant until it is my turn to get the vaccine. That should be soon but I will still be afraid of passing the virus on. So… I am always looking for projects to keep me busy at home. Especially this weekend! They are saying we can expect close to two feet of snow! Have a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for the inspiration.

Thank you Denise. We have started to get back to normal with schools opening again but nothing else yet until April.

You’ve got some fab ideas to try here, Claire! Unfortunately, I don’t have much patience for this kind of thing. Occasionally I’ll start doing something like that and I’ll get so annoyed with myself when it doesn’t work the way I want it to lol!
