A fun and unique approach to expand your collection and reuse your favourite summer items is to style a summer dress for autumn.

Here are some styling suggestions for wearing a summer dress in autumn:

Firstly, Throw On A Big Fluffy Coat.

Like mine! Keeps you so warm and cosy.

Secondly, Add Layers.

Add warmth and texture to your outfit by layering with a cardigan or jumper. Wear your summer dress with one.

Choose neutral hues like grey, black, or beige, or add a splash of colour with a striking jumper. By adding a pair of tights or leggings, you can continue to wear your summer dress as the temperature drops.

For your look to become more interesting, go with opaque or patterned tights.

Thirdly, Add A Cute Ankle Boot.

Wear with ankle boots. Autumn is the ideal time to wear ankle boots. To keep your feet toasty and fashionable, wear ankle boots with your summer outfit. Ankle boots are the ideal footwear to pair with.

Hat And Scarf It:

Fourthly, Hat And Scarf It.

Scarves and hats are great accessories since they can both add warmth and flair to your outfit. The ideal touch for your autumn wardrobe can be a bulky knit scarf or a wool hat.

My second eldest Son came home for a few days over the weekend and it was loving seeing in as we had not seen him for ages.

A chance to get dressed up too. We planned a nice quiet walk into town on Sunday night to celebrate his 21st Birthday with a drink and meal. With all the family.

My eldest Son works all week and then Sundays somewhere else so he could not get over. Which was a real shame as it would have been lovely to see him.

Staying Comfortable:

Nice comfy shoes for the walk into town. I am at an age now that I choose comfort of style. Little did we know that Sunday night they were turning on the Christmas lights in the town centre and it was packed out everywhere.

A nice quiet meal as planned did not happen in town. It was just to busy so we turned around and headed back home.

One the way home we found a nice quiet pub and had a drink in there. My Son then decided to go home and ordered a Chinese Takeaway to be delivered. So that is what we did.

Also afterwards we had chocolate Birthday cake. Yummy.
