Last night it started to feel a cooler, Autumn is starting to creep in.
My Husband laugh at me when I treated myself to a cosy dressing gown in the heatwave a few weeks ago but I am so glad I brought it now!

Catch Of The Day Or Maybe OOTD: Style By A Fake Fish!!
Autumn cannot come around yet, I have so many Summer photos to go through!!

Style By A Fake Fish!!
Today I am sharing a few from the heatwave we had a few weeks ago. I overheard someone in the hair dresses last week saying that we are going to have a hot September and October?
I hope this is true!? I am not ready to let go of Summer just yet.

Catch Of The Day Or Maybe OOTD: Style By A Fake Fish!!
When I reached 40, five years ago I gave up short, shorts.
Five years, 2 dress sizes higher later I have purchased some more with the heatwave.
I can not believe how much I loved wearing them.
I am hoping the hot weather returns again this year so I can wear them again.

Wear What You Love!!
Embrace happiness and wear what you like and don’t listen to articles telling you what you can and can’t wear this and you can’t wear that after 40.
Rip the rule book up and enjoy stamping on it.

Next fashion item to feel confident in again, skinny jeans!!
Might have to lose a few pounds for that one though!?

Thanks Laurie, it was beautiful and hot. I noticed the difference when the weather changed though 🙁
You look great in these shorts, Claire! I had given up on short shorts in my 30’s after I had kids but I started wearing them again in my 40’s, too. This outfit is summer perfection! Pretty much exactly what I have been wearing all summer…short shorts and a kimono. Fabulous, my friend!

It feels a lot cooler for us in the morning and it does remind me of Autumn. I love it but I know it’ll be quite some time before it gets cold. I am in no rush because I understand loving something and wanting to make it last just a bit longer. So I will patiently wait for Autumn that way you can enjoy a bit more warmth and heat! Looking fabulous in shorts Claire and I really do like your kimono. The floral print really stands out with the black background color. Awesome photo bomber you got there! Happy Monday!

You are totally rocking those shorts! We had two weeks of cool/ fall like weather and now it’s supposed to be very very hot for the next week or two. I’m torn between wanting fall to arrive and for summer to last just a bit longer.
Author
Aww, thanks lovely. I love denim shorts so just thought I would go for it 🙂
Such a cute outfit. I love that you tied the kimono and the darker wash of those denim shorts is perfect. Looking great and amazing photos, too. =)
